Our room had a breathtaking view. That was the plus side. Our shower had zero pressure - not enough to wash your hair, the hot tub was never hot, the washer was broken, we didn't have enough forks for everyone to eat a meal a the same time, only one wine glass, sheets that didn't fit the bed, and AC...

Overall, the hotel was not as bad as some of the reviewers claim. Sure, front desk staff was nonchalant and didn’t smile and grin like a chess cat during check-in. But, they did what they had to do. We booked through “West Indian on- Line” for $111 a night with the fifth night free and opted out of the extra...

First let me say, that I was soooo excited about the Sapphire resort after seeing the pictures and reading the reviews!!! I was so looking forward to my beach hotel in paradise, with a jacuzzi and over sized hot tub in the room! BUT...the hotel was CRAP. Seriously, it was bad. I kept trying to pretend it wasn't so bad,...

We stayed at the sapphire the week of Thanksgiving. We were in a Villa, right on the ocean. It was clean, and any maintenance problem we reported, there was prompt response and repair. The buildings may be dated, but had the Carribean charm. We found the front desk staff pleasant and helpful (Jill). The activities desk was also (Smiley). We...

My husband and I visited St. Maarten from Nov 08 to the 28th. We stayed here for one week in a studio on the 7th floor. It was by far the largest of the places we stayed. Our place was clean, the bathroom was sparkly clean as was the kitchen. Our deck overlooked the pool area and you could see...

Just came back yesterday from a week long stay at the Saphire. This was our first time on St. Martin. Water was beautiful. Beaches were beautiful. However, this hotel had a very small patch of beach which usually had only a couple of people on it so we enjoyed the privacy. The hotel was fairly clean although very dated. The...

The Wyndham Sapphire is in a nice location. Although there is no beach at the hotel, it is in walking distance to Cupecoy and Mullet Bay and 5 minutes to Long Beach, Bay of Prunes and Bay Rouge. The Atlantis Casino is in walking distance in the day, but would avoid walking at night because of lack of sidewalks. We...

We stayed here for 6 days, and never saw the Wyndham name on anything, not even the front of the building. This resort was probably very nice many years ago, but no longer. There were ants (and ant traps) in the kitchen, no shower curtain so water goes everywhere in the bathroom, the safe didn't work, I didn't dare get...

We have travelled to St. Maarten for the last10 years and have never stayed in a worse place. While the rooms are nice- we had a 1 bedroom condo- the attitude of the staff and their total lack of responsiveness and help put a real damper on our trip. Everything was too much bother including fixing our bedroom fan, fixing...
