We stayed one night prior to our trip to Saba. The hotel is Brand new! Super Clean, and modern. The staff was very responsive to email prior to our arrival, as we weren't really sure if the hotel had indeed opened. It has! The only downside is that the Hotel is tucked away and off the beaten path. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a shortish walk to the beach. No beach towels per se, But we were given extra towels when requested. The front desk staff were efficient, but seemed to shy away from interaction with us as guests. They answered questions as minimally as possible. I'm Not sure if it is because English might not be their first language or if they just are reticent. We would have liked more verbal response.

I loved the location of the hotel (which is in Jordan Village) there were a variety of places to eat &,drink as well as a mini mart just a few minutes walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is very modern and clean with a good size room. The bathroom was beautiful and very clean which I appreciated. I asked for a late checkout which they granted which was helpful as the flights out of SXM all depart late in the day. The only complaints I have are that they need hand towels (wash cloths) I know a lot of european establishments don’t use them but the guest towels are just to big to use in the shower. The elevator had issues, the housekeeper had it blocked one morning with towels to keep it from closing which is a terrible inconvenience to the guests. My last day there the elevator wasn’t working so I had carry my luggage down several flights of stairs, I was dressed for work and ended up being sweaty by the time I reached the lobby, please make sure the elevator functions properly. The location of the hotel was great, right next to Jordan village which has a variety places for good food and drink just a 60 seconds walk from the hotel. Also a local carrefour if you need to get any water/bug spray ect. Hotel was very modern and clean, good sized rooms and a polite cleaning lady who engages in conversation. The downsides: My original stay was a Friday- Sunday. On the Saturday evening we asked for late check out on the Sunday which would mean check out at 4pm. Around noon (only 1 hour after the original check out time of 11am) we decided to stay another night so requested if that was possible. Once departing the hotel on the Monday at 7am I had been charged the extra night AND late checkout on the Sunday which we didn’t use as we booked an extra night altogether. I got told if I had booked the extra night just ONE hour before I did, I wouldn’t have been charge late checkout fee. I find this absolutely absurd as we stayed the 3 days and had been charged more than the regular price and were not told we would be charged the late check out fee until we left on the Monday. To add to the drama, checking into our room on Friday around 7pm we had zero towels and realised this once showered. After calling reception for 3 separate occasions during our stay to receive no answer all 3 times. It led to having to walk down to the “24 hour” reception and ring a bell continuously until I saw any movement, to which the lady was very blunt to my frustrated response to the third time I had to come down to ring the bell. On the Saturday morning we left our room between 9am and came back around 1ish, to which our room hadn’t been touched and we still hadn’t had our towels. I feel like being a new hotel and relying on word of mouth the last thing you should be doing is overcharging customers for amounts that they weren’t aware of. Working in this industry I have respect and sympathy for a new hotel and am open to give it a chance. There are obviously a few flaws that need to be fixed and I believe in the next few months with enough people getting the same issues they will be. Maybe I’ll try the hotel again next year when the flaws have been looked at and improved.…
