The location of Marricks is wonderful with a great sandy beach and dog friendly. However, that is the only nice thing I can say about it. The cottages are all dirty and in a state of disrepair. There was no wi-fi, our water didn't work frequently, other cottages had mice and mice poop everywhere, screens were far from intact, spiders...

Most of what you see on the web site is true...very dog friendly, nice beach tons of canoes/kayaks etc and great lake views. So why it is poor. We booked the Owl cottage. On paper just what an extended family needs with two big dogs. Main problem is the fact the cottage was deteriorating before our eyes. Bathroom toilet leaked...

Visited Marrick's Landing in early July of this year with a good friend of mine. Had a great trip, but this by NO MEANS at all had anything to do with our accommodations. We stayed in the Hummingbird Cottage. It was not private in the least, you could barely even see down to the lake, and it was in a...

Just returned from a week in August at Merricks Landing. We stayed in the Hummingbird Cottage, which although it is a lot smaller than anticipated was more than adequate for our needs. The exterior bunkie was great, with a double bed, single bunk bed above, comfy chair and tv. Perfect for privacy if a small family or two couples chose...

We booked Loon Cottage at Marrick's Landing Resort at the last minute for the first week of July. This dog friendly resort is a delightful place with a variety of classic, well-maintained cabins. The owners were friendly and helpful. Our two bedroom cottage was great - everything we needed was supplied and wifi and satellite TV make a real difference!...

This would be our second visit to Marrick's landing in the last year and as we envisioned, our stay was as wonderful as we had anticipated. Our lodging of choice was once again "Owl", featuring a spacious family room fashioned with rustic furniture, a gas fireplace, three bedrooms and what to us was the crowning feature of the cabin; A...

I just love it up north and we come here every year, for the last 7. The kids talk about it all year and can't wait to go back! From exploring the nature trails to swimming, sandcastles and paddle boats - we never run out of our favourite things to do! Our dog loves to come on our holiday -...

Clean, lovely cottage, wonderful sunsets, extremely relaxing. The dogs loved it and so did we. The owners were kind, sociable people and tried to make your stay enjoyable. We did some hiking though a few trails, went swimming and I saw a library there too. Our cottage had a gas fireplace in it as well.

We have gone to Marrick's Landing for at least the past 12 years, even before the current owner's were there. The location is absolutely stunning. The lake is beautiful, the sunsets are beautiful, the fishing is good, and the swimming area is excellent. So why am I rating this place average? Well...as the quality of the cottages consistently decreases, the...

The cottage itself was great! Really large, great value, comfortably fit 5 adults, teenager, child and baby! We were in the blue heron. We probably won't go back however, nothing was terrible, our whole week there was just okay! The cottages are really close together so you feel like you don't have any privacy. The quiet time starts at 10,...
