We stayed 2 nights midweek and it was great. Lovely greeting from Christine when we arrived. Dinner both nights in the restaurant was excellent. Good choice of dishes on the menu (it's not all steak). Bed and pillows were mega comfy in the 'Garden Room'. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful. Thank you to Fran Jonathan & Team for a...

Dining with the family and finding a friendly atmosphere and a willingness to please differing requirements. Steak of good quality, salad garnish very small and chips could have been better. The fish, potatoes and spinach are excellent.

Went to the Red Pump last night at 7pm my how busy was it , great to see. This place is getting a good name for Steaks and the menu reflects this with a large array of steaks on offer. The Menu is good with plenty of choice , Hubby went for the Soup then Rib eye , our friend...

Had a lovely lunch at the red pump with our three dogs. We received a warm welcome like we were old friends and despite a slight embarrassment on our part, nothing was too much trouble. The food here is consistently good and of good quality, my only criticism is that the vegetarian selection could be varied more often. You will...

Visited with a party of 14 including 2 young children and also 2 dogs after a Sunday walk (there's plenty nearby). Very accommodating to all. Nice cosy layout - we even got a room to ourselves. Great quality, tasty food and a good selection of drinks too. Will be returning

The Red Pump came highly recommended by friends and we had read some great reviews. My goodness they were right! We visited today, a Friday in early February, for lunch. It was quiet due to the time of year. We were immediately impressed by the 360 degree surrounding countryside with far reaching views. The interior was warm and inviting and...

This was a night to remember, Head Chef Tom at his Best, his passion for food was evident and his artistic flare let loose from the daily menu! The flavours and unusual choice of canapés was a definite taste bud teaser of what was yet to come and we were not disappointed! (Tom's Special Board) The atmosphere, the staff etc...

Enjoyed an overnight break here and ate in the restaurant, very good service, relaxed and friendly. It prides itself on the quality of the steaks, they did not disappoint, probably one of the best ever eaten, with lovely champ mash. A good cheese board. A nice wine selection. The setting of the pub is also great, open countryside all around

We stayed in the Pendle View room which was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the room looked across to Pendle hill. Although the room overlooked the road it was still very peaceful. There was fresh coffee available in the room which was a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant and had a perfectly cooked steak. Probably one...

Nice country pub with lovely interior and a wood burner beside our table. I had the wild mushroom starter which was very nice and the fillet steak for main course which was cooked to perfection. I can recommend the fruit crumble for pudding, it was delicious. The portion sizes was just right. The girls that served us were all very...
