Says it all in my heading. The hotel is barely five minutes from the A16 so convenient whichever direction you are travelling. Our room was ideal for our overnight stay and, in a nod to Brits who appreciate a cuppa, offered a kettle and tea & coffee making facilities. The bed was really comfortable. The restaurant, which is run separately,...

Situated in the middle of a small village, this hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery and rugged coastline. Who would have thought such a gem could be found just outside Calais? Our only disappointment was that we were only staying for one night. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We were shown to our room and...

Hotel is fine & is convenient for 15 minute access to Channel Tunnel. Escale village is quiet but Wissant is only 5 minutes away with lots to see & do. Escale pebble beach is intrrrsting & Wissant has promenade & sandy beach.

We have stayed at the Hotel l'Escale a few times with a small group of friends. The staff are friendly and polite. Its 3 star rating is well-deserved. The continental breakfast is more than adequate. The rooms are spotlessly clean with a hospitality tray included. The upstairs lounge area is a bonus, especially if you want to meet with your...

We have stayed several times and have always enjoyed our stay. A great location for exploring the Opal Coast. The proprietors and staff are welcoming and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

We make one or two booze cruises a year and almost always shop at Auchan Calais. L'Escale is very convenient to Coquelles and very convenient for the return ferry. The room was bright, very clean, warm and very good value for money. We will visit next time.

Accommodation clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent value, with wide continental range, quantity and choice. Dinner in restaurant was good value, and with excellent service. Only negative is that alcohol is not served after 10.00pm-enquiries met with a "Non!" Non-negotiable.
