The location of this Haritha is at stone's throw from Gandikota Fort. There are cottages which are built well. Rooms are nice but maintenance is shabby. You have to virtually ask for everything. And that means you have to walk up to the reception areas as mobile signal was absent in our rooms (9 and 10). I have not seen many places with such apathetic staff. They even suggest you to eat outside as then they do not have to cook. The power went off at night, and they did not switch off the generator. Next day they said that they did not switch on as the person in charge was asleep. If you are visiting carry candles and torch. Power goes off very frequently. Also lots of insect repellants. Food here is very average. They refused to open the bar in spite of requests from many guests.

The place and location is amazing. But the facility is poorly maintained. It would be great if Haritha team takes a note and make enough changes, it would be amazing place to stay. Poor rooms Poor food Excellent location.

I read a lot of negativity about this place almost everywhere. When I discovered that this is the only decent staying option in Gandikota I was quite disappointed and had almost cancelled our trip. However, we ended up being at Haritha Resorts and I must say that It is AWESOME. They charge you just Rs. 1680 over the weekdays and Rs. 2000 over the weekend so please do not expect luxury in the name of a "resort". It is a so-called "govt. property" but that does not alway brand it as "bad", "unclean" or "ill maintained". I don't understand what travelers are expecting from a property at such a remote place by paying so less? They never claim it to be a luxurious resort. Do they expect to be staying in Taj, Oberoi or Marriott by paying sub 2K tariff? If you want luxury then don't go to Gandkota, as simple as that. I was shocked with some reviews mentioning staff not able to speak in English. Do people in the villages and secluded tourist places in other parts of India speak in English? We two families recently traveled to Gandikota and booked two cottages at Haritha Resorts and we were quite overwhelmed the way they have maintained it especially when it is in the middle of nowhere. The property is well spread out and quite big. You can take your car all the way to your cottage if you wish. The rooms are SUPER LARGE, air conditioned and maintained in sublime condition. The bathroom is not only clean but also very well maintained with Jaguar bath fittings. Everything is working fine. To be honest, this was a pleasant surprise for me as well. It had continuously rained for 15 days in Andhra before we reached there so the garden area was still submerged in water. The staff was quite courteous and always ready to help, even though it was Covid time and they were short of people. The kids in our families were scared of Lizards and they kept popping in our rooms frequently. Whenever we called the staff they happily came to the rooms and cleaned all of the Lizards and insects even though it was quite late in the evening. When you go to Gandikota and plan to stay there you need to remember that you will be staying in the middle of a forest. Insects, lizards, frogs, etc. live there and you are a guest in their land so, please be respectful if you discover them in your room. Once again, I would like to remind you that this is not a 5-star hotel in the middle of a concrete jungle. They do have a small restaurant that serves good food. The choices are quite limited but we can't expect them to offer us a multi-cuisine menu and 24x7 service in such a remote place. They have to travel 30 kilometers to buy vegetables and other food ingredients. They have only 10 cottages which remain fully booked only over the weekends and public holidays. They get power for only 16 hours a day. Keeping in mind the challenges they face we were quite happy to eat the delicious food they had prepared for us. Each cottage has a staircase to reach the terrace and the view is amazing from the top with a vastly spread wind farm in the backdrop. You can see a panoramic view of the fort from the terrace. They do not have Wi-fi and except Jio, no other cellular services are available. I think this is an ideal setting for someone who wants to enjoy the nature and serenity of the place. The rooms do have Televisions, but we never bothered to even switch them on. Overall, we were quite happy with our stay at Haritha Resorts because we kept realistic expectations. I am glad that the government is not allowing any private property to come up there. This will allow the place to remain natural, affordable and free from unwanted commercial activities.

Below average place to stay... Not maintained well... Food is a big concern... Staff was unable to communicate in English ... Unfortunately, there is no other place to stay... Government should allow private resorts at this place ...
