Had a lovely wander round the gardens if you are looking for some inspiration this is a great little place to visit. The cafe is nice and clean although we didn't eat the food looked good would definitely recommend this if you are into gardening or want to spend a couple of hours in pleasant surroundings.

No choice of food for those of us on a diet, all pastry or bread with mayonnaise and fatty fillings. I opted for quiche with salad, my companion chose sandwich. The salad bowl was empty, we had to ask for more. Got to the till, we were asked how much the sandwich was, assistant wasnt happy when we didnt know,...

Visited today with my parents and had a lovely time. We remembered seeing the TV programme about this being built but it was so much better than we expected. The gardens are fantastic - heaven for my parents who are rose lovers. My dad said better than Alnwick Gardens and one of the best he has been to. Layout, flowers...

My wife and I went to Wynyard hall for an afternoon tea for two. A very impressive hotel with fantastic grounds, When you drive up to the building you cant help but think... Wow. The inside is just a grand. The lounge has a massive stained glass skylight with an extremely ornate chandelier suspended from it. The staff smart and...

Very impressed with the atmosphere of the hotel. So many big house hotels have so little of the history of the people who made the house their home. Not so here. The hotel management have gone to great lengths to enhance the sense of history of this great house. The staff are proud of this heritage and of the modern...

my mum went here as a student teacher 56 years ago and we went back to see what is what like - we were not disappointed. Its a stunning building in terms of landscape and internal decoration. The welcome was warm and friendly , with a good few reminiscences for my mum and dad to enjoy . The newly laid...

We visited the Walled Garden and were really impressed with the grounds as we drove through and the garden itself is immaculate. We arrived at opening time and car parking is excellent. The entrance fee is reasonable and the staff are very friendly. It was not busy and so had plenty of time to meander through the garden at our...

We stayed one night as a wedding party and paid £200ish for the night. The hall itself is lovely and a great venue for a wedding. The bedroom itself was large with a nice bathroom but we found it very cold, it had no central heating only wall heaters that I could not figure out how to work. They were...

We came for a break away and it was lovely, the room was very comfortable and decorated beautifully. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff very friendly, only problem was the kitchen staff not taking note we were vegetarian and serving us meat! The restaurant manager was very quick to apologise and seemed genuinely shocked by the...
