Beautiful room, amazing view of the lake, we ordered room service for breakfast that was very good & exactly on time :) perfect for a special treat night! We also enjoyed a visit to the spa for an addition £20pp for 2 hours and it was very relaxing and well worth a visit after your overnight stay

Just got back from trip to Winter Wonderland, yes the lights were pretty, the tree was lovely, but a lot of disappointed people tonight. Your website is totally misleading. 3 log cabins ! One greenhouse and a few over priced things in the shop. No atmosphere and people complaining that it was not as they were led to believe by... More

We had a celebration dinner here following a graduation at Durham University and had an absolutely delightful experience. The building itself is beautiful with a rich history, which our server was happy to share with us throughout dinner. Come early and enjoy a drink in the library before moving on to dinner in the restaurant. The food here was something... More

We were 8 ladies in for afternoon tea for my daughters 18th birthday. Cakes were delightful. Sandwiches had very little filling but they were tasty. It was the service that really let it down. We felt that we were an inconvenience to the staff. We asked for a couple of extra things and had to chase them. Even on speaking... More

I took my mother to the spa yesterday for treatments to celebrate her birthday. This is not the first time we have been but it is the first time I have done a review for the spa. All the staff at the spa were very friendly and welcoming as usual and my mother was really pleased with her facial, especially... More

At the risk of disagreeing with the previous poster I attended the Christmas Fayre with my mother and thought the entrance fee was very reasonable. The quality and standard of the products for sale on the stalls was high and we thought the pricing of the goods was excellent value for money. Lots of the stalls had special offers and... More

We have just returned from an overnight stay for our wedding anniversary. We had afternoon tea which was superb, later on we had a few drinks in the library before dinner. For Dinner we both had cured duck for starters and sea bass for main both were fantastic. We would like to thank Catherine the assistant restaurant manager who went... More

I visited the Christmas fare and paid the £ 7 entrance fee per person. Quite frankly the price per person is nothing more than a disgrace. The stalls were nice but again the prices of the items appeared inflated to match the surroundings. A free glass of mulled wine on entering might have lessened the blow of the entry fee... More

For any additional cost of staying at Wynyard Hall, it is WELL worth it. The room was spacious, an advantage when you're tall, extremely well decorated whilst keeping the period features of the Grand Hall. The view from my windows was of the grounds and lake was simply breath-taking. I managed a "timeout" at the Spa and thoroughly enjoyed the... More
