Detailed Reviews
From the moment the manager answered the phone, I knew I was in capable hands! Our organised accommodation was cancelled at the last minute due to COVID19 and we had to find something quickly and dog friendly. From my experience, when a place is dog friendly it is not very "human" friendly. Caroline Serviced Apartments offer exceptional accommodation, excellent facilities in an ideal location that keeps the guests and the doggies happy. We had two nights in a studio apartment that included a very well stocked kitchenette (the best assortment of knives and kitchen utensils in any place we've rented), a good bathroom with L'Occitane amenities, washing machine and dryer, a king size bed, FOXTEL and a balcony with table and chairs. The location is central to the great shopping strip of Church Street with a mass of choices in restaurants and take-away and a few minutes walk to the Brighton train station. You are also walking distance to Brighton Beach and the famous bathing boxes and you can enjoy looking at many beautiful houses in the area. If you don't need to stay in the middle of Melbourne, this accommodation gives you a real taste of a beautiful Melbourne seaside suburb. I highly recommend this accommodation and we'll certainly be back!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We never get tired of receiving positive feedback and we will be sure to share your comments with the rest of the team. There is no doubt Covid19 has provided a very challenging time for all so if we can do our little bit to ease the disruption by providing guest's with last minute accommodation it is our pleasure. We look forward to welcoming you and your four legged friend back on your next visit to Brighton. Kind Regards, Victoria Rolston Assistant Manager

This is our second stay at Caroline Apartments, this time in a studio with large courtyard. Great bed and kitchenette area. The bathroom is very functional ( the fan was not working which created a bit of a steam problem), but the shower was fantastic. After a long wet day at the golf open it was bliss. The location cannot be beaten with vibrant Church street just metres away. All your eating and shopping needs are covered within walking distance. On site parking made the stay very convenient for us.

Well equipped 1 bedroom apartment in excellent location. Spacious, great kitchen amenities, washer & dryer, underground secure parking and walking distance to supermarket, shopping precinct of Church Street, restaurants and Brighton beach.
Others have said the apartments are noisy but our apartment was extremely quiet and we barely heard the trains.
Highly recommended.

Pro’s Location is ideal being only 100 mts from the Main Street with eateries, shopping , Pub and train station. Apartments have aged well and still offer reasonable accommodation.
Con- would like a smile and welcome from reception the young lady just didn’t seem welcoming or interested. Being so close to the train line its really noisy late into the night and early morning. Half moon pub is basically next door so rooms facing the train line can listen to free music and yelling until late into the night. Maybe double glazing could help. I wouldn’t suggest this side of the building if you want it to be quiet. Expect to be charged extra for parking

The hotel is well placed in what used to be called Middle Brighton but is now just Brighton. The room was quite nicely set up but this was the end of the good features. We found out that our room was only about 20 metres from the Sandringham train line which blew its whistle on arriving and leaving the local station. This hotel is not recommended for those who prefer to sleep between 12.30am and 5.0am. So, having an almost sleepless night we did not appreciate the evacuation alarm which went off at 7.0am and sounded for 30 minutes with no advice of what the proceedings were and a reception that refused to answer its phones despite what could have been an emergency.

There are three types of apartments: Apartments that face Male Street, apartments that have no external view, are dark and have frosted glass in their sitting room, and rear facing apartments which look over a railway line. I stayed in an apartment which looked over the railway line, and while the apartment itself was great – spacious, well laid out, everything worked, a comfortable place to stay, it was, as other reviews have said, ridiculously noisy with the trains. The windows are not double glazed and so if you leave them open to get fresh air then you suffer trains going past and blowing their horns, since the railway line is very close to a train station and the trains announce their arrival every 10 minutes or so during the day, and every 20 minutes to half an hour through quite a bit of the night. So if you were going to stay here, fine, but make every attempt to ask for an apartment overlooking Male Street and not anywhere else…But I’m told the apartments have a 95% occupancy rate, no doubt because of their location and basic cleanliness and layout, so you need to book ahead…

A very empty space, no ornaments, no clock, dining table has some burn damage and coffee table has chips all the way around it. Feels old, well worn and 'cold'. Not a welcome 'feel'. A vase here or there, or another picture on an empty wall would make it feel more homely. Not a home away from home. On train line side so quite noisy.

Excellent apartment so long as you do not want to sleep.
Many apartments on the railway line and rail crossing with constant ringing of bells, rail noise and honking of train siren for trains in both directions.
No double glazing on windows indicates lack of care for paying guests. Requested move to street side when booking weeks before stay, but not honoured and request during stay treated similarly.
Advised next time ( wishful thinking) they will advise 48 hours prior if street side room is confirmed, which would leave you 48 hours to find alternative accomodation….not helpful.
Unless you can get a street side room, would not recommend this place.

Nice well equipped service appartment in a great location . Woolworths and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The apartment I had was only 1 bedroom however it was very spacious. Only down side was the train line / train crossing and constant bells in durring the night.

I did not realise the consequence of booking this accomodation so close to a train line. Trains sound their horns with each departure meaning that a good nights sleep has been impossible. The location 'looks good' (with access to Church Street) but it comes with a cost.
