Family stayed 2 nights in the Marriott on the shore of The Dead Sea in Jordan. First a beautiful resort. Spectacular accomodations, stunning architecture. Staff truly professional and friendly. Food delicious. Incredibly good food! Second a personal shout out to manager Mr Alaa Abu Hilal for extraordinary service and generosity. Our unit developed a tiny leak in the bathroom from the unit above us. Fortunately it was a very tiny drip that thankfully landed in the sink and was no inconvenience at all. Still he offered us an instant upgrade and offered to move us immediately. Because we had connected rooms with our daughter's family we declined even though he offered to move all 6 of us to adjoining rooms the same night. Staff stopped the leak that night and we finished our luxurious stay gifted with an extended stay for all and access to their indoor pool for our granddaughters for a couple of hours before we were scheduled to depart. The people of Jordan we found to be exceedingly friendly and kind and recommend all people's of earth visit this extraordinary nation. We are so grateful for all we have experienced here, in resorts like the Marriott and everyone we met in public on the street and in the restaurants we frequented. The food is delicious and I recommend trying all the local dishes. I am blessed to have visited these extraordinary citizens of our world. Long may they prosper! And may you enjoy this nation as my family has enjoyed them! They are a beautiful people and very kind to all.

The Dead Sea Marriott Resort and Spa continues to be my most favorite resort in all of Jordan. Why? Because the Dead Sea Marriott has everything a five-star Resort should have for an example: The location, how can you beat staying in a beach resort being the lowest point on earth? The Dead Sea is around 423 meters below sea level and the access to the shore that the Marriott offers is tops. At the entrance to the Dead Sea the resort has rebuilt and modernized the access. Now you can enjoy many lounge chairs; plastic slippers, an ample supply of Dead Sea Mud; a fresh water shower; bottled water; a full time life guard and even a ride to and from the beach in the resorts buggy. The resort has five swimming pools including a special indoor Salt Water Pool. Then, this resort has the best trained management team. All were very congenial and very friendly. They looked after our needs during our short two night stay. We were met outside by the resorts General Manager and Front Office Manager and all were available throughout our stay. The resort has a wide variety of restaurants to enjoy during your stay. The Mosaico Restaurant is a fantastic place to have a great buffet breakfast; lunch or dinner. We also enjoyed several great lunches on the terrace of the II Terrazzo Italian Restaurant. And then for a change of cuisine we had a great dinner at Champions Tavern while watching several British Football games. The rooms at the Dead Sea Marriott Resort have been recently renovated and redecorated. Our room was upgraded to an Executive Suite which had a great balcony overlooking both the resorts three outdoor swimming pools and the Dead Sea. Our room was extremely relaxing so my wife and I enjoyed a great night’s sleep. The resorts gardens are really spectacular, as they had planted many different varieties of Palm Trees and also a multitude of flowering plants. Each time that I stay at the Dead Sea Marriott Resort this resort truly makes me feel that I have: “Come home…” Finally, there are many resorts to select from along the Dead Sea in Jordan, but if you want the best stay you must book at the Dead Sea Marriott Resort and Spa, you will not be disappointed, trust me!

Large hotel with a huge area of terraces/terraces with on different levels different pools and whirlpools where you finally come out on the private beach at the Dead Sea. Fortunately, you can easily spend a whole day at the resort. Outside the resort there is not much to do. As usual with Marriott, the breakfast is good and extensive. It is a nice hotel but needs a refurbishment. The tiles on the floor are damaged and the carpet on the floors is outdated. The air conditioning does not heat, which in December is quite a pity. But we were given a radiant heater on request. The rooms are not sound insulated. Even when people talk softly in the hallways you can hear it in the room. All in all a good enough but it has much more potential.

This is a beautiful property at the edge of the Dead Sea. The outdoor grounds are especially nice, and there is a nice selection of dining options (also, the coffee place near the lobby is excellent-- and the barista is very friendly and helpful-- he took great pride in making sure the coffee is prepared just the way I want it! The rooms are nice and comfortable, although they could perhaps use a little face lift. I was debating whether to rate this hotel 4 or 5 stars-- what put it over the top for me was the spa experience-- specifically, Renalyn! She is magic! After my first service with her, I couldn't bare the thought of going home without experiencing a Renalyn spa treatment one more time....so I made sure to make a second appointment. To future guests-- do yourself a favor and request Renalyn for an Indian Head Massage. I was with 5 friends on this trip, and I urged them all to book treatments with her as well (but not before I made sure my name was down there and confirmed first :) Great stay in an amazing country.
