Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Close to lots of eateries and you can stroll down to the main street of Alexandra and the bridge. Found the facilities pretty basic. Our bathroom was dirty. Had trouble sleeping due to the light coming in the glass door, bottom pane. Top pane had a blind we could pull down. Operators aware of the situation. Car park right outside our room, but we left it parked there earlier in the day and someone had driven past and scratched the side, so we moved it out onto a side street. We wouldn't stay here again, sleep is just too important and we found our male neighbours very loud.

We have stayed at this place a lot over the years and we have had our staff stay here. It is still popular as a stopover for company staff however it is now showing its age with very little maintenance being done for the tariffs being asked. The restaurant traditionally was always good also but there is now a ‘design your own meal’ menu that is designed to extract as much money from your wallet as possible for a very average fare. In the future we will probably look for somewhere else which is a shame as we have enjoyed this place over many years.

A very friendly welcome on arrival. Our unit was very spacious and immaculately clean. The unit had a microwave, small fridge and kitchenette. There is a restaurant on site and breakfast is available also. A large supermarket is across the road. Free wifi and parking is available.

My family and I stayed here for about a week.

First the positives, the room was clean and comfortable, and the TV had Sky kids channels. Beds were comfortable, and it was handy having New World across the road.

Now the negatives. Sleep, next to none. Our unit had no AC, and Alexandra gets really hot (like over 30 degrees C) over summer, so be prepared to sweat. The other factor disturbing your sleep will be light from car headlights that will pour through your glass door at night. I would suggest to the management that they invest in a curtain and curtain rail so that one can cover the door at night.

The kitchen is almost non-existent. There wasn't enough bench space to wash our dishes, and don't even try to prepare any meals here, go out instead.

Housekeeping seemed to clean only half the room most of the time we were there. But did take out the rubbish and replace linen, so that was good.

Parking is a bit of a problem. There are enough spaces, but not a lot of room to navigate if you have a large car.

I would not stay here again with a family. Alexandra is a lovely town, and we definitely want to return, but we would stay somewhere else.

The rooms are tired with outdated furniture and accessories, there was old blood spots on the white sheets that would have been easily seen when making the bed, lighting in bathroom was not workable, very dim. Not value for money. Told reception about blood stains and they just said they would pass it on to the cleaners

The unit I was in requires a lot of work on the bathroom while showering the water runs out under the door. It took a towel and bath mat to stop it reaching the carpet. Also on the second day my room was not serviced at all so was luck I was the only one in the room otherwise I would not have had a towel. Also the light that comes in the bottom window of the door at night is like trying to sleep with the light on in the room.

Paid $135 for a night in the hotel which had restaurant and bar facilities attached. The photos dont even resemble where we stayed but address fits so hope am reviewing the correct hotel. We were told that it had a complete overhaul so maybe photos on site need an overhaul as well. A big hotel complex with plenty of parking and newly redecorated room which was very clean and had small kitchenette, dining and lounge area with Television and free wi-fi.

Had a 2 night stay with the extended family. We were 2 adults 2 kids. Pros: Staff were friendly and it was straight forward check in. Cons: Room was pretty hot and stuffy even with the fan. Bed linen were old and felt like it was due a change/upgrade. Left the stay with bites all over my feet.

If I do another trip probably will stay somewhere else.

All was going well with my stay here, friendly staff, room and everything was just fine. Then my neighbours came home and I could hear every word, burp, fart and what was on their TV’s. Then came the constant clanging of washed dishes, and then the SNORING!!!!!!! All night I got barely an hours sleep, the walls are that paper thin I might as well have been in the same room. Sorry not coming back. ☹️
