I don't have anything positive to say about this hotel, other than the rooms had fridges and the breakfast was OK. The rooms were poorly maintained and dirty and smelled funny, it doesn't look like they dust, cobwebs etc. The bed linens were old and frayed. No air conditioning and the lighting in the room was incredibly dim. The bathroom...

There are a number of rooms inside the hotel and then a couple of detached cabins which is where we stayed. They were spacious and suited our needs well. While the hotel was middle of the road, the staff were super friendly, especially Nathalie. She was always interested in knowing what we had done and was all too happy to...

Stayed here as a part of a volunteer alumni trip. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Happy hour is 4 to 6 everyday and the drinks are amazing .I didn't try anything on the menu but my friends said the food was great as well. The rooms are very spacious and clean and there were fresh towels everyday. The...

The Good Happy hour from 4-6, lovely location within easy walk to town. Rooms are clean and adequate to sleep in with comfortable beds. Bathrooms are simple but need updating. Birthday food was good. Great sunset view down the lane. The not so good The rooms are like cabins with extremely thin walls. It's very uphill to get back to...

Probably my least favourite hotel in Costa Rica. Stayed as part of G Adventures trip. Plus points - the bar (and happy hour). That's about it I'm afraid. Our room was basically like living in a shed (6C). Two single beds crammed in. No safe, nowhere to put anything - so couldn't unpack (had to keep packing and storing stuff...

The communal areas at Hotel Jardines are lovely, with the bar and restaurant providing a good, friendly service and an opportunity to meet fellow guests. The rooms however are dated and the bathrooms desperately need updating. There was very little hot water meaning cold showers every day, and hairdryers cut out after a few minutes only! The rooms are also...

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Their staff is excellent. At the entrance of the hotel, they have a manager to help customers with their tours, his name was Pablo. He helped me with my tours, very good boy. The hotel breakfast was excellent. At dinner, the receptionist Aydalina recommend us the hotel restaurant which was one of the best...

The location is not central and is a hike to get from the town. Rooms were spacious but NO INTERNET in your rooms. Internet is only in the lobby area. Parking also was a problem. Staff were polite and nice. Not worth the $ 100 / night.

Located in a forested area about a twenty-five minute uphill walk from the village, or a five minute taxi ride (CRC 1500). The hostelry is a somewhat sprawling mash up of new and old construction, and is certainly eclectic. Its definitely quiet, and the staff are all great! There is a small bar off of the lobby, and a dining...

Pretty place up in the mountains at Monteverde. Grace (the owner), is very nice & helpful. Our room was clean. Loved the balcony that is surrounded by forest. Breakfast was included & was the traditional "Gallo Pinto" (rice & black beans). There was also scrambled eggs & toast. Food was seasoned well. The Gallo was better than the Gallo we...
