El Sol. No words will do it justice :) I felt like my stay was straight out of a storybook -- it was just that perfect. My boyfriend and I stayed here for what was to be the second to last part of our trip and we decided to extend our stay to 3 days because it was just that...

My husband and I spent two nights in the large cabin at El Sol and were so pleased! It was peaceful and quiet - a great way to end our vacation in Costa Rica. Elisabeth and Javier were very welcoming and worked with us and our crazy schedule. The view off the cabin balcony was amazing both during the day...

Our 3 nights in the small cabin, with Javier guiding us by day, was a definite highlight of our 2 weeks in Costa Rica. Some reviewers from years ago suggested that the cabin was run-down or buggy...if that was the case then, it has certainly changed: Everything was totally charming and in great condition. The owners, Elizabeth and her son,...

We stayed two nights in the cabin at El Sol and loved every minute there. It was obvious from the beginning that Javier paid close attention to detail; we felt very well cared for. The cabin was a lovely, handcrafted, nurturing place to stay; cozy, and perfectly sized for two people. The pool was lovely. We had breakfast delivered to...

Our family of 4 (kids ages 9 & 11) spent 4 nights in the large cabin with the amazing views looking over the mountains. My son quickly settled into the hammock which hung on the porch and my daughter picked her bed right before the beautiful picturesque window. Javier was incredibly welcoming and a delicious lunch was ready for us...

We are a family of four (two adults, two teenagers) who spent four night at El Sol in June 2012. We stayed in the large cabin (a house, really) and loved it. The location is beautiful, secluded and quiet. We loved the fact that we were away from town (although I disagree with the reviewer who complained about the drive--we...

We visited Costarica trhee times in the last ten years e we can say that cabins el sol is the best hotel where we stay and one of the best of all our journey through the world! The location is great. This property is too far from town especially if you take into consideration the awful bumpy road that you have to drive on for 10-15 minutes to get to civilization. I can see if you have a lot of small kids and you really need to cook but if that isn't the case, stay near town and avoid the unpaved...

My family and I rented the large cabin for 2 nights. We were 6 adults and a baby. The cabin is actually a spacious yet cozy house set in a beautiful spot surrounded by trees and nature. Entirely hand made from wood, this spectacular house is very inviting and fully equipped for self cooking. This provides a great atmosphere for...

“No internet and TV??!!” – asked my always-busy-consultant boyfriend. But I had a plan! After reading reviews, I decided that it will be a perfect place for our second leg of the trip (went to Arenal before and Manuel Antonio after) – great views, relaxed, own cabin, unbelievably romantic! I am a planner and emailed Elizabeth right away; she was...
