Myself, husband and two children aged 10 and 6 stayed in log cabin number 18 for 3 nights. The log cabin was really cozy, relaxing, spacious, modern yet rustic. Dressing gowns were supplied which we were very grateful for as it was a bit fresh in the mornings and evenings. We used the log fire every night and the wood was re-stocked in the outdoor cabinet by staff. We did purchase some extra kindling to keep us going but this was only $5 from reception. The beds were really comfortable and we all slept really well after being out most of the day exploring the surrounding areas. Reception staff were very welcoming and friendly and provided us with leaflets and places to visit and eat during our stay. There was also a good selection of books, games and dvds to choose from in the reception area. The eco resort itself was very well kept and peaceful. We seen bush turkeys, wallaby’s and a variety of birds. So many places to explore in the surrounding areas. We would highly recommend to couples or family’s looking for a lovely escape from the 9-5. We will definitely be back

This is an amazing place to stay sitting right on the edge of the Kondalilla National Park. While it seems like an off the grid location, away from it all; you don’t miss out on access to all the facilities in your room that you could possibly need. The nice warm wood burner was particularly comforting in the middle of June in the mountains! Thanks for the stay!

We were gifted a 2 night stay by our adult kids as a xmas gift, were booked to stay in May but due to Covid had to put it off until mid August. We were booked into Treehouse #9. It has lovely views of the surrounding trees & was very private. The bed was so comfortable! We enjoyed a walk/hike to the falls which is on the doorstep of the resort. While is agree with all the positive reviews there is a couple of things I found disappointing. Firstly the expectation that our dishes should all be done & our rubbish removed, with the warning that an additional charge may be made if this wasn't done, nothing relaxing about this part of our stay. There was no obvious recycling going on which I found disappointing, we actually took our recycling home rather that throw it all out in the rubbish bins on site. There is also little to no mobile reception & pretty bad TV reception also (first world problem I know) Our included bottle of wine wasn't in the room so I had to go to reception to ask for that, again just a minor inconvenience. Whilst we enjoyed our stay at Kondalilla I think there are opportunities to improve the 'eco' part of the name.

The room was well presented and equipped and as expected. The location in the rain forest also expected and we knew there was limited (or no) wi fi and telephone. We stayed in dismal weather with heavy wind and rain and this impacted our impression and had we forecast the weather we would have been somewhere else. For the price, this resort does not offer the value expected and even though it is intended to be back to nature , in this day and age one needs telephone and internet, so simple to provide even in this location which a short distance from the main road. The restaurant was average fare.

My partner and I stayed in a Family Room at Kondalilla Eco Resort last weekend. From the moment we walked in we were completely appalled. The room was located on the main internal road of the resort and had absolutely no privacy! The main reason we booked this "resort" was for a couples getaway in a beautiful scenic forest location. The photos on the resort website DO NOT show the view from these rooms. We had no forest view, no balcony, we looked out to large water tanks, piles of rubble and the road. Anyone driving past could see straight into the room, so to get any privacy you needed to shut all blinds - which we did. Why would anyone pay hundreds of dollars a night in an "eco resort" to have no view whatsoever!! Very, very disappointed. To top it off the neighbours held a birthday party the second night we were there with over 15 guests singing and playing music late into the night.

Hi Jemima, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience and that your experience did not match your expectations. Our Family Rooms are well appointed rooms that cater for families of three to four people. We recommend treehouses for a couples getaway however as you booked 2 days before your stay during school holidays the family room was the last available option. We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are disappointed when we don’t meet expectations. We hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back to the resort one to stay in a treehouse or a villa. Kind regards, from the team at Kondalilla Eco Resort 🌿

After purchasing 4-5 gift vouchers through this resort, my parents were unable to use the voucher due to my father having a serious heart condition and needing recovery. They were not even 2 weeks late; my father reached out to them and Groupon to be told "no this has expired it will not be honoured". After i have spent thousands with both organisations it took over a month to basically be told we dont want your business. A horrible situation for someone excited to utilise and already being through so much. I wouldn't go near this place nor would I recommend any means of prepayment.

Went there, just for an overnight stay. Luvly location next to Kondalilla falls. Booking is easy on their website, they keep you posted and updated. Arrived, everything was ready, luvly studio. Relaxing music playing, luvly temperature inside. You have aircon, fireplace. Nicely styled, most comfy bed, little outside area ( quite private, though the first mozzies out and about). Big kitchen area, very good equipped. Downside in kitchen area is the lighting, pretty dark, when cooking in the evening. Big bathroom, bit rustic but nice. Unfortunately the jets didn't work in the spa. The shower is overhead in the spa. As there is no curtain, u have to be a bit careful, not to get water all over the place. The whole studio was absolutely spotless. We went for a walk around the area and it's lovely, with ponds, a pool area and a seperate function room overlooking a pond, that can be hired out (this also has another pool area). We didn't use the restaurant. The place runs on septic and it seems difficult for people to understand not to through things into the toilets. Unfortunately our toilet got blocked later in the evening through a blockage somewhere in the septic. A very nice lady tried to sort it out at 10pm, but no no avail. There we encountered our biggest issue, as there is no ,public toilet, Restaurant was closed, reception was closed, restroom at pool area was under maintenance. The next morning we tried to use the bathroom at the function room, which has a bathroom and shower, but it was hired out and the lady, who hired it, was not impressed. So that is something, that needs to be looked at, as it is an issue, that occurs more often, as we were told.

Stayed once before at this resort way back in 2017 , loved it then and still love it now , purchased a Groupon deal and it’s great value and funnily enough we ended being placed in exact same room we stayed in last time , we noticed it had been renovated with a new kitchen and floorboards and now has a roof on outdoor verandah which was great . We loved our stay and getting up and close with nature , the pool although was cold was refreshing after a hot day . The staff at reception were lovely , thank you for a wonderful stay we will be back

This place is absolutely stunning! We wanted a weekend away together and we go somewhere different each year to a rainforest cabin type. We arrived at reception and the lady was so lovely and happy. She Gave us instructions to our cabin and we were also told before we arrived that unfortunately the spa pump had been broken and they tried so hard to get someone out to fix it but wasn’t possible. It was ok because the bath was still useable obviously and reception gave us some bubble bath products to make it more special. They also offered us a $60 voucher for the restaurant. The restaurant was amazing we had some drinks and abit of everything from entrees and mains. It’s beautiful sitting on the deck looking out at the rainforest. Sunset is beautiful. Our cabin was gorgeous we stayed in the villa number 17. I loved this because it feels more and looks more like a cottage rustic look. The spa bath is near the bed and then up the 3 stairs is the couch/kitchen and tv. There is heaps of DVDs available from the reception. I suggest also bring ur laptop, hard drive, and yeah HDMI cord if u wanna watch ur own stuff or just enjoy each other 😆 We did the kondellia falls walk that was great and went for a swim in the big rock pools so that’s a must. Overall this place is one of my favourite places we have been for our ritual getaway each year. I cannot fault anything about this place only I wish we had come here more often. We will defiantly be coming back sooner then normal :) Thankyou to all the staff at Kondalilla you are all so beautiful and wonderful xoxo

You know you are in a beautiful spot when you are constantly gazing out to the beautiful surrounds for your entire stay. And this is exactly what we did during our stay in one of the resort's tree-houses. The room was spotless, the bed comfy and hampers lovely, but to wake up each morning to the sounds of the neighboring rain-forest was truly unforgettable.
