“Mitta Glen” is an iconic Queenslander located on the scenic Range drive between Mapleton and Montville, with almost 2 acres of glorious gardens to meander through. This is my home, I live upstairs. The homestead dates back to the late 1900's. There are 3 beautiful Suites with ensuites, and a central lounge and dining area at ground level, and a Guest Kitchen. All the Suites look out onto the gardens, one particularly onto the stunning lagoon pool as well. The rooms have recently been completely upgraded, they are very fresh, elegant and comfortable with air con, fans, TV/DVD and security locks . All of guest areas are tastefully and creatively decorated with beautiful antiques and artworks. The suites can be booked individually or taken as a whole group booking. There is also a very comfortable sitting room between the rooms with courtyards and outdoor hammocks for guests to enjoy. A fire pit area, and a beer garden with bbq facilities. My Continental breakfast buffet is always popular and is served either on the scenic Breakfast Terrace or in the glorious homestead Dining Room. There are tea, coffee and snacking options all day, and the gorgeous Barn Cafe is next to this property, the original pineapple sorting barn for this greater former Pineapple Plantation. All of the local villages, including Montville and especially Maleny have wonderful pubs, cafes and restaurants for dining, plenty of shopping opportunities. There is ample parking on the property, including 2carport spots.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A fantastic location with a fantastic host. Deana went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everything about the guesthouse exceeded our expectations. From the beautiful rooms, great outlook and The Barn Cafe next door to the beautifully made hot crossiants each morning. Thoroughly recommend!

We loved our stay at Mitta Glen. Such a luxurious guest suite. We had a wonderful nights sleep in the Courtyard Suite- the decor and styling was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable too. Deana is the most attentive hostess who has thought of every little detail for her guests. We will be back for sure. Thank you

What a fantastic get away. Right from the start with the booking process things couldn't have been better. Deana was the perfect host. Our room and the guest accommodation was very well presented and nothing was too much trouble. Our days started with a wonderful breakfast and concluded around the fire pit - what a wonderful atmosphere. We trust we get the opportunity to return again.

Oh, what a welcome. Deana was the perfect hostess. The house & gardens are beautiful and really spacious bedrooms with really comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped, and we just felt the warmth and happiness. The breakfast provided in the two days there was delicious, and a lot of thought was put in to give us a variety each morning. We were close to the Barn Cafe and a 5-10 min drive to Montville and Mapleton.

Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality during our weekend away at Mitta Glen. Deana is very welcoming and went above and beyond for us during our stay! Deana makes a beautiful breakfast each morning for her guests. The Guesthouse is beautiful and our room was very cosy - lovely bed linen, a very comfortable bed, great heating (much needed during winter stays) and a private ensuite. Thank you again Deana, we had a great mini getaway and look forward to our next stay at Mitta Glen!

My partner and I recently stayed at Mitta Glen for nights in the Garden Suite. It was a wonderful experience. We were both impressed by Deana's enthusiasm and passion for for mkaing her guests feel so welcome. When we left we felt like we were part of the family. From chatting around the pool, and sundowners on the verandah, to lighting a roaring fire in the fire pit to celebrate Nicky's 60th birthday and setting up the camp chairs under the stars, to 2 wonderful breakfasts overlooking the southern garden, to sharing her toe nail polish kit because there is no one on the mountain that does nails it was an experience both of us will remember for a long time. Before we left we'd bought a gift voucher for faimily members and were plannning our next visists with groups of friends. We loved it and we will be back. Thanks for great stay Deana.

My husband and I had a wonderful 2-night stay at Mitta Glen in May this year. Deana and her partner are so welcoming and really went above and beyond for us during our stay, taking us on a tour of the area, airport pick-up, taking us to local tourist spots - we really appreciated it! The Guesthouse itself is beautiful and Deana has done a fantastic job renovating. Rooms are comfy, lounge area lovely and gardens beautiful! And, not to forget the amazing breakfast Deana puts on each morning for her guests! It was so, so nice and we had a great mini getaway without the kids! We'll be back. Thanks again!

Fabulous home away from home. Beautifully appointed bathrooms, crisp linen bedding, very comfortable beds, gorgeous garden, firepit with large marshmallows, full access to a kitchenette and lounge with fire. Absolutely stunning breakfasts. Host went the extra mile in so many ways, like robes in the bathroom, jar of chocolate cookies in the kitchen, freshly picked greenery and flowers in the rooms. Thoroughly relaxing. Will be back!
