We took our 92 year old Mum to have a quiet getaway after months of not leaving her home. Pam and Dave looked after us with their friendly manner, delicious food and homely surroundings. Avocado Grove is wheelchair/wheelie walker accessible. Walk in showers had room for the shower chair so Mum could be safe and enjoy a little luxury at the same time. We ordered dinner prior to our visit and it felt like we had our own private restaurant. After dinner we played charades in front of the cosy fireplace and enjoyed complimentary port and chocolates. Can't wait to go back again.

We needed accommodation as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Flaxton Gardens events venue. This place was available and we were so pleased we chose it. We asked if we could check in early so we could get ready for the wedding and Pam was so obliging. Pam met us on arrival and showed us our room and made us feel very welcome. She and her husband are perfect hosts. The room was very well appointed with all in room amenities including a fridge, coffee maker etc. The en-suite was spacious with fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. It was striking the cleanliness of the space. As Pam and David knew that we were going to a wedding they offered to drive us there and pick us up. So wonderful. Waking up in the morning to the chorus of bird songs from the bush-land so close was a joy.
Breakfast was a delight and we could recommend the Avocado Gardens special of poached eggs on toast with bacon and Half and Avocado. Best we have had for some time.
If you are visiting the Blackall Ranges soon you would do well to let yourself be spoilt by Pam and David at Avocado Gardens.

Avocado Grove is an oasis in the hinterland of The Sunshine Coast! This is truly a beautiful B&B; Pam and Dave are fantastic hosts and the surrounding scenery is breaktakingly stunning. We stayed two nights and I wish it was longer. The breakfast served to us on the balcony overlooking some beautiful hinterland aspects, is one of the best we’ve ever had. The peace, the nature and the location is all relaxing. But don’t rely on my review, go and see for yourself!

Just returned home from a welcomed break to the Sunshine Coast and stayed overnight at ‘Avocado Grove Bed & Breakfast’.
Wow! What a relaxing, friendly haven located at ‘Flaxton’ which is near ‘Montville’ and ‘Mapleton’ to name a few and it was only a 15 minute drive from our family living near Nambour.
We chose to stay one night and it never disappointed.
Right from the clear directions given by ‘Dave’ when booking, to our beautiful welcoming by ‘Pam’, our lovely hosts
everything was first class.
Avocado Grove has over three acres of land and beautiful gardens with the Sunshine Coast Hinterland as it’s backdrop.
With four rooms, three upstairs with two en-suited and one having a private, bathroom opposite it and a private suite, situated downstairs with its own lounge, bathroom, tv and patio, you are spoilt for choices!
We chose the Reed Room with a comfortable Queen size bed, private balcony with seats and table outside to drink in the views.
White shutters complemented the decor and a private en-suited bathroom was comforting enough, but it was the little extras like Sheraton towels, tea and coffee and biscuits and chocolates that made you feel like home.
The top floor has a separate living area, with lounge, fireplace, air conditioner and dining table and tv to be used by guests.
This opens to a gazebo with spectacular views of the hinterland and breathtaking sunsets. There’s a fridge with complementary water and you can store your goods to retrieve anytime.
On arrival we were greeted by Pam and urged to have afternoon tea on the veranda with flourless, orange cake and this truly made us feel like family arriving home after a long drive. After refreshing ourselves, we left to explore the nearby cafes only a few minutes away and chose an Italian Pizza place.
It was enjoyable and easy parking and the Mapleton tavern was opposite, if you prefer a pub like meal.
On our return, we were greeted by a beautifully presented nightcap (liquor and more chocolates) to finish our evening.
After a warm, comforting sleep we readied ourselves for their famous breakfast, served from 8-9:30 am on the gazebo.
This was the icing on the cake and truly worth the stay, as Pam and Dave excelled in presenting an array of fresh fruits and yoghurt, followed by our choices of smoked salmon on poached eggs, bacon, spinach and relish or home made bacon and eggs with toast, with plenty of tea or coffee to wash it down.
‘Avocado Grove’ is a first class B & B in my opinion and we can see why they have won awards for their excellence. The little touches added to the immaculately clean accommodation and their friendliness and professionalism make you want to return over and over. Also it is situated close to all tourist venues and we are sure you will make it your home away from home! Well done 😊

In a word...perfect. From the moment we turned up till the moment we left it was a delight. We stayed in the Sharwill suite, which is downstairs from the other rooms and has its own entrance. The room is wonderfully appointed with a bed so comfortable it is really like sleeping on a cloud!! My wife was recovering from major back surgery and said the bed was better than our own at home!! The shower was lovely and hot. There was a pod coffee machine, fridge, iron and all the other stuff you would expect. The setting is Idyllic, with wild life, particularly birds, abounding. The included breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. Dave and Pam are excellent hosts and wonderful friendly people. Book directly with them for some great extras.

We stayed her for 2 nights as we were competing in the Blackall 100 race. The hosts are super friendly and cooked a wonderful breakfast for us. Hosts went out of our way to make us feel welcome and knowing we were racing offered us extra water for our room. Was perfect place to stay for us.

Would love to come back and stay again.

This would have to be one of the best B&B's we have stayed at. The property is just beautiful, everything is immaculate and spotlessly clean. Our first floor room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Pam and Dave are fabulous hosts and surprised us with many thoughtful little touches, even greeting us at the car park offering umbrellas (rain arrived at the same time that we did). Breakfast was truly gourmet and worthy of a 5 star hotel. The local birdlife also know how fresh and delicious the food is, and politely wait for a snack. For us, the location was ideal and central to where we wanted to go. We highly recommend Avocado Grove and will be back!

Having been in luxury travel for over 15 years, I've been fortunate enough to stay in some of the best and most well known hotels across the globe, and the service we received from Pam & David was as good as any I've ever had.

They were friendly but not familiar, warm and welcoming and provided an environment where we instantly felt comfortable and relaxed.

Breakfast was spectacular, it's obvious they love what they do and are passionate about providing a top quality service and experience.

Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to get away to nature and enjoy the amazing surrounds including an incredible view as evidenced in the photo below.

Will definitely be back, thanks for a great stay!

Avocado Grove is the best B and B my husband and I have ever stayed at. Set in a peaceful location with lush gardens it is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy yourself. The accommodation is spotless with comfortable beds, luxurious linen and lots of little extras. Pam and Dave are generous and hospitable hosts, they will even drop you at a local venue and pick you up. When you stay be sure to catch a sunset from the veranda. Simply stunning. We hope to stay again soon.
