Absolutely delightful place and better than I anticipated. The location was perfect, far enough away from the craziness of Campbell Parade but close enough that everything was easily accessible. Staying at the Bondi Beach House felt like staying with family. Can't wait to visit again.

Just had the most amazing two nights at Bondi Beach House! The rooms are so nice and cosy, with some of the most comfortable bedding I’ve ever slept in. There’s a beautiful garden area where you can sit and enjoy a meal/ drinks and makes you feel like you’re in another country. The location couldn’t be better, with the beach and shops/ restaurants only a couple minute walk away. The hosts were super lovely, with communication made easy by their quick and thorough responses. All the thoughtful touches made our stay very enjoyable, we will definitely be staying here again when we’re next in Bondi.

This space is set in a comfortable neighborhood with close walking access to Bondi Beach, businesses, restaurants, and bookstores. The space is clean, thoughtful, and artfully appointed. This is the perfect place to land to explore Bondi. We treasured our stay.

I had been planning to stay at BBH for a few years and finally booked for 8 nights and it more than lived up to my expectations.
Great friendly staff and gorgeous building beautifully decorated. Great free breakfast and luckily for me I was up-graded from my outback room to the $300 a night suite due to the cyclonic weather conditions.
Love this place and I wouldn’t stay any where else when visiting Sydney.

Thanks Libby for your wonderful review! So glad you enjoyed your stay, and we loved having you around the house...sorry about the wild weather, unfortunately it hit everywhere in Sydney very badly! Please stay again whenever you're visiting Sydney and we may even get to visit your area as well in FNQ. Kind Regards Andrea and the BBH team :)

We adored everything about this place. The location is ideal, the welcome warm and flexible, the interior is gorgeous. Everything was beautifully done from the bed linen and interior design to the delicious kitchen supplies. We loved the courtyard garden and French doors opening onto it. Many thanks lovely hosts.

I agree with many of the recent reviews. After looking at the pictures online and reading all the positive reviews, I couldn't wait to stay here. But upon arrival, I was sadly disappointed.

The Good - The location is unbeatable. The house is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and the Bondi strip (restaurants, bars, stores, etc.). The staff is also sweet and accommodating.

The Bad - The house is extremely rundown. It looked completely different in person than it did online. The photos portray a clean, chic, bright cozy room on the beach, but unfortunately it was dirty, rickety, and uncomfortable. The shower was so small that the bathroom flooded every time we used it. There also wasn't a logical place to get ready in the morning. I felt like I was back in the college dorms.

This also isn't your typical B&B - it's more of a hostel and "do-it-yourself" place. The room didn't get cleaned once during our entire stay, and that's their normal policy. I wish I had know that so I could've been prepared.

In my opinion, the price was ridiculously high for what we got. It was fine, but our overall experience was more negative than positive.

Ok, good points first. Right next to Bondi Beach, ie a very short walk. Ok, now bad points. The rooms are not very big, the double bed just about fills them. No food is provided although there is a large kitchen if you want to make your own. The staff are rude - the lady cleaning the rooms literally scowls at you if you are in the way of her hoover. How about a "how are you?". The receptionist just seemed uninterested and more concerned with filling the rooms than checking on her guests. I guess maybe this is normal for a beach house? But for this money there are so many other, much better places to stay.

An excellent location only a couple of hundred metres from the sea but parking is a dire problem which you only find out about once you get there and try to find a space.
The property is only staffed for three hours between 9.30am and 12.30pm so there is a pass code for the front door which is sent out by email in advance which works fine. However you soon realise that there is a passageway down the side of the house and the back door in left permanently open so that anybody could walk off the street and into the house which is far from ideal for security.
On entering our bedroom we were greeted by a large cockroach which scurried across the floor. Luckily for it's own safety, it didn't reappear. We had booked one of the suites but we weren't impressed as it had been changed to another suite as the owner had decided to stay at the last minute and wanted 'our' room. The room was clean enough and furnished with a complete mish-mash of assorted mismatched and eccentric furniture and pictures. The bed was fairly comfortable but the mattress had certainly seen better days.
We stayed four nights and were surprised that during that time our room was never serviced.
There is a help yourself breakfast available. This consisted of a basic tub of muesli, some milk, half a packet of sliced bread, butter and jam. The spreadable butter run out as did the English Breakfast teabags but the management didn't bother to check. Decidedly uninspiring so we opted for brunch out at one of the many cafes nearby.
The whole place had a sort of Bohemian atmosphere to it. Ideal if you don't want to see the management and want to do everything yourself. For the price charged it is very expensive considering that the management appear to have a lack of interest in putting in any effort.

I’d like to sincerely apologise for the less than perfect service you received on your last visit to the Beach House, and to thank you for bringing up your concerns – we will address and act on each one separately. Unfortunately parking is a problem in Bondi, and cars parked in our driveway have been fined in the past, so we have had to resort to street parking for our guests. However in the block next to us there is non-metered parking overnight and 2-hour free parking zones during the day; please call us before coming and we’ll direct you. As a B&B we don’t service the rooms every day, but that can certainly be arranged: please see our Terms and Conditions page on the website. We are usually in the office or around the property from 9-5 Monday to Friday, and in the mornings on weekends, so I hope that next time you stay you feel you can connect with us more about your needs. Please give me a call if you would like to discuss your stay in more detail. We have so many happy returning guests to the Beach House that it is of concern if things go wrong. Again, I apologise wholeheartedly that your stay didn’t meet expectations, and hope that we can impress you with our service on your next visit.

Our first impression of the place was quite good, the house is decorated in a bit of a country chic meets bondi beach style, however I did not enjoy the trek up the narrow staircase, it was a little difficult with our bags. We stayed in the green room which was clean and comfortable but vey small. The kitchen and outdoor area is lovely however the bathroom could do with a make over. There is a shower over the bath tub but no curtain or door so the floor was constantly saturated every time we went in there. We also had to wait for ages in the morning to get in there (upstairs is a shared bathroom).
Its not the type of place I would stay at if i wanted to sleep in as the house is not at all noise proof, and the rooms are very light in the morning, however if I was to stay here with a group of friends (ones that dont hog the bathroom and ones that sleep in!!!) it would be great. The location of the house is fantastic, not far to the beach at all, but as another reviewer mentioned, the street the house is on is very dark at night, which was a little scary if you are by yourself!
We did not get the chance to meet the hosts at all during our stay so I am unable to comment on their helpfulness.
