What an absolutely LOVELY place!
Loved that the toiletries were built in, environmentally friendly AND Made in Australia. They were great quality and came in very handy due to my forgetfulness.
The family suite we had was very spacious with dining AND lounge area.
What we first thought was odd turned out efficient - the laundry. Try accommodating multiple netball teams laundry!
The pool is fantastic for after sports ice baths.

Upon arrival we were informed that they had turned on the room air-conditioning in advance to cool the room (40 degree day) and were handed two complimentary bottles of chilled water. That was a nice touch on such a hot day.
Room was basic, but clean and bed was comfortable.

I was travelling to Sydney with my mother for a weekend as we are originally from Sydney. A family member recommend it to us when we had trouble finding something within our price range near the family. On arrival we were greeted by friendly and very helpful staff! The motel is off from the main road so no road noise which makes for a good night sleep (especially when from the country and we have no traffic!). There is a shopping centre within 10minute walk and a restuarant next door. The pool looked nice only wish it had been warm enough to go for a dip! The room was a tad on the small side but still had everything we needed and the beds were perfect! We had a renovated room. TV was still analogue but having some pay TV channels kind of made up for that.
We stayed for 2 nights and when we returned on the 2nd day to get ready for a dinner out we found our room not cleaned. We reported it to the office in person and they ensured the room was cleaned within 15 minutes for us and apologised for it. (There was a issue with the cleaning staff.)
All in all it was a very nice stay. I do think customer service makes a motel and the reception staff were fantastic!
Positives...
- Clean room with everything you need for an overnight stay.
- Soaps all provided.
- Beds were perfect!
- Customer service was excellent!
Negative...
- No HD channels
- Rooms small

While it seemed clean the room smelled old and musty. The bed is about 100 years old and like a rock.
We had the misfortune to be in room 22 which is right next door to where we presume they have supplemented accomodation for the homeless. A noble idea but the occupant ranted and raved and swore endlessly and loudly all night long. He had a barking dog and a nasty smoking habit which made him cough and hack all night as well. Then in the morning, when we were trying to get out of there as quickly as possible. He was urinating on the ground by our car. I have sympathy for the guy but the management knew all about him (confirmed by apologetic cleaning staff) and they should never have located full fare paying customers alongside him. We got enough second hand smoke to last a lifetime and zero sleep.

Was very disappointed with the room and wouldn’t stay there again. The room I stayed in needed renovation. The bed was old, mattress lumpy and pillows were smelly. It was very expensive for the poor quality of the room and furnishings which were very outdated. Location was good but room was very noisy.

Didn't stay here but tried to. More than a week ago I rang Narellan Motel to book accommodation of two rooms. Lady that I was speaking to was very flustered. Another phone started ringing, put me on hold & a good 5 minutes came back. I had to 'remind' her as to where our conversation was up to. She told me it was a bad time to ring as people checking in & she was very busy. Other phone started ringing again & with that she told me that she would ring me back, confirmed phone number & hung up. Over a week later still waiting for her call.

This motel is a bit dated but was very clean and suited us for what we needed (we had a wedding at Belgenny Farm in Camden South). We had a 10 month old so having a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchenette was great. They also supplied a highchair.
I feel the motel is overpriced but I don't think there is much else in the area so that is why the charge is higher. Across the road there is an enormous shopping centre so has every shop you could need. Not much else around though. There is a good park for kids behind the shopping centre up near the library. There are also plenty of Ubers to get you around.

Good points,
Breakfast ( $12) is plentiful, hot and delivered with complimentary newspaper, punctually.
Staff is friendly.
Real milk available on request.
Very quiet considering it's proximity to the busy highway, we paid $235 for 2 nights.
NOT so good -
Pillows are like sleeping on the side of a mountain, staff told me that they were "all new", I suggested they take a couple home and try to sleep on them, no replacements were offered.
PLease take your own Tea bags, the ones they supply take 4 to make a weak tea ( in a motel size cup).
TV reception is iffy, should be better in a major center like this.
The stormwater drainage system has been plumbed in so the water free falls from the top floor onto the angle of the pipe. If you are into Jungle drums and the sound of a flurry of rocks being thrown down a pipe maybe you will be able to sleep -- we couldn't.
Staff comment was "Our handyman doesn't know much about plumbing, and it doesn't rain much in Sydney". Oh yes it does !!

Response from slhunt, Manager at Narellan Motor Inn
Responded 29 Nov 2011
Hi Pamapples & Review Readers, Thank you for your feedback to our office and Tripadvisor. We are always open to listen to our customers and improve on our services where possible. Regarding your several concerns, we would have happily attended to these if given the opportunity and time to fix them. As we were only made aware of these issues upon your departure, we did not have the chance to offer you alternate pillows, extra tea bags, check the tv aerial and gutters or offer to change your room. As we have 51 motel rooms on-site, we are confident you would have found a room to suit. Our rooms offer a good size mug for our guests, as they give our guests a better & bigger cup of tea or coffee. Thus, the English Breakfast tea bags would have required longer to brew than a 'standard motel cup' but given a more pleasant cup of tea. All of our rooms do offer at least 6 pillows to choose from (as per the AAA Tourism standards), so we are sorry you could not find one to suit. The new pillows had only just been placed in the room the week prior and we were hoping our guests would enjoy these better than our old ones. However, I am sure we could have assisted you in finding one to suit, given the chance. Any maintenance issues reported to Reception are attended to immediately, as per our motel policies. Our maintenance handy man is a professional and can put his hand to most things. Your feedback on the gutter noise is appreciated and important for the comfort of our future guests. And yes it does rain in Narellan, and last week saw an exceptional amount of it! We will have this attended to. At Narellan Motor Inn, we do aim to ensure our guests enjoy their stay and thus ask for the feedback. We aim to offer a good quality motel room at a reasonable price with the facilities and service to match. We look forward to welcoming you back to Narellan Motor Inn, as indicated on your hand written guest feedback form.

3 friends sharing a small room with a double and 2 singles for 2 nights - very squeezy. At $220 per night we thought it overpriced as it is a basic older style motel. In its favour: helpful counter staff, plenty of off road free parking, comfy beds, hot showers, and clean. Against: room wasn't serviced - (an oversight the manager was quick to amend for with apologies and the milk we required), and small for the price.
There is a German restaurant next door, but we didn't eat there as we were eating at the conference, so cannot comment on that.

A fairly basic room but the bed was comfortable the room clean and the shower modern. On one day the breakfast was included and delivered to our room. There was little choice and the toast was simply warm bread. We were there for a wedding and on reflection I would have to say that the stay was not good value.
