I think we were probably upgraded to the best room in the hotel as we think we were the only independent travellers there. However there were 3 very large groups of guests which caused difficulties at breakfast
Our room was huge, very clean, with masses of storage. It had a double aspect - wonderful big windows giving the room a light, bright feel with quite pleasant urban views. There was also a balcony overlooking a small roof garden, which was a pleasant space for spending the evening but it was a shame the chairs were rather utilitarian. Inside the room was a modern design with coloured textured panels but no pictures. The remote exterior shutters plus black out curtains made it so completely dark and silent overnight that sleeping on the comfortable beds was excellent.
The bathroom was superb with a big mirror, great lighting, good shower and twin sinks.
A couple of small points to note - there were no tea/coffee facilities in room and a full length mirror in room would be a useful addition
One concern was the fully openable large 2nd floor window which could be a safety issue for anyone with a child!!
The food at breakfast was good but our experience was utter chaos because of the large numbers of guests in groups. When we arrived every table was either occupied or covered in dirty crockery - lots more staff are needed to cope with this situation.
However overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend, especially for a traveller wanting a hotel in a convenient location, just a short distance from main routes.

Passing through Lausanne, we chose the usual B&B already known in other cities. This is top level, for the care and furnishing of the rooms, the excellent breakfast on the 4th floor with terrace and the free underground garage. New hotel, in a new neighborhood outside of Lausanne, great base for business or sightseeing by car. Simple reception but kind and prepared. Very nice room, new spacious, soft mattresses and pillows. Strangely enough, there is no minibar in the room. Big bathroom. In the turn excellent restaurants also Italian type Mo’si where to dine. Breakfast nice panoramic but to improve, too little choice. Hotel prices are a bit expensive but we are in Switzerland.

Dear Mrs. Naidoo, I would like to thank you for taking some time to review your stay with us and I am really sorry that our propertie's services did not meet your expectations. Regarding the AC, our system is in fact ecofriendly and we cannot control the power of the air getting blown to the room. We do have a few fans to compensate even if during the few really hot days of the year this solution is not always sufficient. As for dinner, we can accomodate table for 10 with or without reservation but on the night you came for dinner, our rooftop terrasse was almost fully booked and we only had a table for 10 available, sorry we were not able to accomodate more than 10 without a reservation that night. We indeed do not have room service but anything can be ordered from the menu a served on a tray that our guest can take to the room.
