We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children aged 6 and 9. First of all, Marquartstein is a charming village that is off the beaten path but near touring spots. While there, we visited Chiemsee and Innsbruck. We had a lovely room and fantastic meals while there. Breakfasts were particularly good- and we saw families from many countries there....

The hotel was very nice, breakfast beautiful. Reception is attentive, call me, when we not arrive in time. Recommended, if you like optimal price/quality. The bed normal, hotel is clean. Our family room was comfortable with the balcony. We can return, if have the stop near next year.

We have visited this hotel twice on our way to Austria, so we booked it for this years trip via booking.com. We booked in March 2015 for stay in Febr 2016. Upon arrival we were told by a waiter the hotel was overbooked. The good thing was they arranged (a much better and cleaner) hotel for us, but after a...

Only stayed one night but really hard to find fault, only praise on this experience. This Gasthof is only 10/15 minutes off the A8/E52 junction 106, south towards the Austrian border. It would make an ideal base to visit places like Chiemsee and is surrounded by biking and walking trails. It is situated on a bend in the main road...

Great hotel. Walking in, the hotel reception welcomes you with a great British accent and a big smile. Feels welcoming, and decorated fashionably. We stayed in a quad room, big. No elevator, but it was not a problem since we were on the first floor. Well, there are only three floors. Food was great too. Highly recommend.

I stayed there for 3 nights with my family. Location was good, staffs were very kind, breakfast was fair, and most of all restaurant was very good. But no elevator... Children's playground was too small.

Despite our late arrival without reservation and for just one night, they welcomed us without hesitation. Fair price. At the leaving in the morning we had trouble with our motorbike and they supported us efficiently by getting and keeping in touch with the service till the problem has been solved.

As a family of four and having experienced a bout of tiny hotel rooms, we were relieved to spend the night in the roomy family suite. The rooms were clean and quiet, though not entirely modern. The bathroom appeared to have been updated. The host was very friendly, helpful and welcoming, speaking very good English. The evening restaurant staff were...

Hotel itself is a standard house, clean but simple. But you cannot imagine the breakfast service, it was the worst ever experience in all my time travelling regarding hotel breakfasts. don't try the coffee, try to avoid the eggs (industrial), everything else industrial too, no single fresh piece of nurture, only cheapest stuff. Personnel of rather average friendlyness.

Family run hotel in the heart of the Chiemgau region. A good base from which to explore the area from Munich to Salzburg including Berchtesgaden. The hotel is efficiently run and good value for money. Clean and well appointed rooms. The only drawback is the restaurant which is adequate, but not great. The other hotel in the village, the Wessner...
