Excellent service from the moment we booked the room. The owner emailed with a welcome message and questions about food preferences for the dining package. Then offered helpful advice about the tours and booked them for us. Each room is an individual bungalow, nicely appointed and well maintained; set in a garden with a private screened in deck looking out... More

Arrived in Belize and we were picked up at the airport by Augusto. Approximately 2 hour drive to the lodge. Augusto was very welcoming and gave us a wonderful explanation of the country and everything we saw on the way. Very informative and knowledgeable. Upon arriving at the lodge we were welcomed by Nell Marie and given our room keys... More

We stayed in October, the slow season. Because of that, during the week we stayed we only saw other people on 2 of the days. The grounds were amazing. They have 6 cabanas available. They are set up differently based on how many people in your party. If you reach out to Nel Marie or Sharyn, they will set you... More

Cant say enough good things about Mariposa Lodge. We were the only travelers at this time of year so literally had the entire place to ourselves. It was like a red carpet of love was rolled out for us. The room was decorated for our honeymoon in such a beautiful, loving way. Our meals were decorated and served as if... More

I've never been to a "resort" of this sort so I had little expectations, but I had very specific and high demands. I wanted adventure, fitness challenge, learning experience on the Mayan culture, Belizian culture, good food, comfortable and safe place to stay with my 11 year old son, and lots of education. I'm pretty sure I got it all... More

My friend and I stayed at the Mariposa Jungle Lodge for 5 days in September, it was an amazing experience. The location is fantastic and really immerses you in the jungle experience whilst being near enough to the main attractions such at ATM cave and Caracol. The cabanas are very well appointed letting you enjoy the jungle but still feeling... More

We recently stayed 2 nights at the Mariposa. It's absolutely beautiful! You are definitely in the Jungle! The cabanas are clean, some rooms have outdoor showers and rooms w a jungle view enclosed w a screen to keep the bugs out. Also a hammock to enjoy the nature. It's close to all the fun outdoor activities as well. The bartender... More

Mariposa Jungle Lodge was a perfect choice for our extended-family vacation. Sharyn and her staff were amazingly helpful. We came to Belize with dietary restrictions, but with a bit of planning, the kitchen staff was able to help accommodate us, and did so extremely well. Esau, the chef, was a pleasure to deal with, and was very pleasant, despite the... More

Thank you for taking time to post your kind review. It was a challenge, an education, and a pleasure to host your family and I'm delighted our mutual efforts resulted in a successful vacation for all. My husband, my sister, and her boyfriend had a dream Belizean vacation planned. A week on a private island, sun, sand, and scuba diving to our heart's content. Sadly, Hurricane Earl had a different vacation in mind for us. When we arrived at the Belize City airport were met by a driver for our original resort, who informed us that... More

Sharyn and her staff were absolutely amazing, from helping us plan our day excursions to accommodating our family's unique needs. They were courteous and solicitous for months of planning (literally), and throughout our entire stay. The cabins are spacious and beautiful, and the food was fabulous. The jungle ambiance was exotic and enjoyable, and the private pool was an added... More

It was a great relief to learn that our months of planning for a diverse family of 16 resulted in a successful vacation.
