The place is well located, very close to the beach. It is hosted by a very charming family who will provide any service if needed. The rooms are very basic, missing even blankets and power plugs. Don't expect much quietness as it is next to a main road. We didn't mind the place being very basic and not containing any...

Lovely people in guest house, literally 45 seconds to the beach. Big and comfortable rooms and unbelievably good wi-fi since i am used to very bed internet connection I was quite surprised with the speed and quality of internet. Even downloaded a movie from my room. Best value for money!

Unfortunately we didn't have an air con room but the fan was ok. The property is very close to the beach and good to get away from the beach at night to the quiet location for sleeping. It is a 5 minute walk to the No.1 Dewmini rotto house which is very popular with tourists.

Stayed at Amara Guest for a few nights and it was an excellent stay. It's about a 5 minute walk from the beach on the side of the road. The rooms are basic but very clean. The family who runs the place are super-friendly and helpful. A bit disappointing breakfast but it's a matter of raising the awareness of what...

What a great stay this place was. The owners were extremely helpful and sorted transport for us as well as whale watching. The room was lovely and clean and of a good size with air con. Breakfast included in the morning with the price of the room. A short walk to the beach

Amara Guesthouse is lovely. The hosts are very kind and welcoming. We stayed in a basic room and it was fine for a few nights. Very clean and tidy and we liked having a little sitting area outside. The location is perfect, with the beach a five minute walk away and great local restaurants close by. It was good to...

We originally planned to stay just 1 night but felt that relaxed we stayed 4 nights. Lovely family atmosphere and clean pleasant rooms. We where invited to Abey birthday party and watched Pushpa teach the violin to some children. Wish we had longer. Just a short walk to the beach, less than 5mins. Best part of the beach is around...

We stayed 13 night at Amara Guest and liked our stay very much. The owners (and the boys) are really helpful and happy every day. The room was good and had musquito nets. The wifi was fantastic! Would recommend this guesthouse!

The stay was just amazing! What a lovely people are Pushpa and Amaranath. Amaranath has helped us a lot in struggle with eye infection, that almost stopped our flight back to Europe. Thank you so much for this, you are so kind! The room was superb, clean and with amazing views. Location was just perfect, view minutes from the beach...

Pushpa and Amaranath were absolutely wonderful - their hospitality and kindness was overwhelming. The room was perfect and very reasonably priced, and then I ended up staying in their house as the room was booked for one of the nights I was there. I had a wonderful few days in Mirissa staying there, and will certainly be returning, I highly...

“We had number 4 and the toilet didn't flush properly and it had water stains but the room was spacious and had places to put and hang clothes. I think all the rooms look similar so look at the bathroom first before choosing your room. All rooms are quiet as they are enclosed and off the main road.”
