We entered the hotel building which does not look interesting at all and were surprised about the decoration in the restaurant. It really seems that you are in a submarine. We ordered pike-perch and a speciality which is called "Rügener Panfish". Both was ok, a little bit of salt missing, old-fashioned decoration with tomato and salad (times of that are...

Travelling by car in Ruegen allowed us to stay in out-of-the-way, less costly Putbus. Hotel Nautilus is also "out of the way", so much so that it's very private and absolutely delightful. Seems many travelers simply come for the quirky restaurant designed like a submarine with artwork resembling "20,000 Leagues under the Sea" as seen on their website. That's well...

A place worth visiting, very rich decoration, friendly staff, high level of attention to details. Found the food however (although well prepared) not so special for such a special place, and slightly overpriced. Location a bit difficult to find. Didn't sleep at the hotel, only ate at the restaurant.
