We took advantage of the great value dinner , bed and breakfast rate offered by the hotel and did a 2 night stay on Sat and Sun evenings. The location was great and we had an excellent conservatory room with a fantastic view of Roseberry Topping. Evening meal was a 2 course meal and we opted for the starter and... More

Me and my sis had a lovely comfortable stay here. The room, location/scenery, food, service, ambience were all excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful so thank you for a great stay, especially Michael, Zoe and Emma who made us feel very welcome. Hope to return soon.

We had a great weekend in this lovely hotel. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is home cooked and very good indeed. It's in a lovely area too and not too far for a day trip to Whitby.

My partner is a member of the Cleveland Mountain rescue team and on 6th november , we had a small birthday party there and stayed the night in one of the rooms. The staff could not have been more pleasant , or helpful, both in planing our stay and helping me make the night a real success for my partner's... More

We stayed here for 4 nights to attend a family wedding. We couldn't praise it more. We added on an extra night at the last minute but it wasn't a problem. Lovely fresh decor in the rooms and corridors. Comfy beds. Staff are fantastic. So helpful , even when we were asking about other local restaurants! The portions of food... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights over the weekend whilst visiting family in the area. Our bedroom (5) was at the front of the building and on the ground floor. As it was warm weather we had the window open and it was not noisy, although the road is quite close by. The bedroom itself was bright enough... More

Thank you for your review and comments. We are a pub with rooms and offer home made, homely, pub food as opposed to being a high end restaurant. We do hope you will return to stay with us again. More

Warm, hospitable staff. Clean, comfy room. Tasty breakfast, served in clean, comfy dining room. Great location for walking Cleveland Way, at the foot of Roseberry Topping. Reasonably priced restaurant and room. Would stay again and recommend to frienda

I think this hotel and restaurant are dreadful. Firstly the room - We booked a double but got a small twin - Our room (8) overlooked the entrance to the accommodation block so we had to close the curtains to get any privacy - The TV remote control did not work - The iron did not work - The bathroom... Busy pub and restaurant with a good atmosphere. Rooms to the side are very good, nicely finished with all you need for a couple of nights. Food good, parking excellent with dedicated residents area. Recommended.

This was a great place to stay when we attended a friends wedding at nearby Angrove Park. The hotel is handy being just a few minutes drive away, inviting and welcoming with all staff very attentive. The breakfast served is stunning and more than sufficient to set you up for a days adventure. Only negative comment would be that the... More
