We stopped for 2 nights at Jundah Hotel. We stayed at the relatively new self contained cabins which were perfect for our family. The hosts Warren and his wife and family were more than welcoming and accommodating. Meals were huge and delicious. Beer was cold. Can't thank them enough for looking after us during our stay. Do yourself a favour and spend a night or 2 here!

Stayed at the Jundah caravan park. It was off season so had it to myself.
Frequented the pub each evening. Hosts Warren and Carol are very friendly and do a great job.
I had great discussions on history, particularly WWII, with Warren, encouraged in particular because I was reading a book on my road trip on WWII.
It wasn't hard to strike up a conversation with the other locals or passing through workers either.
Not five star, but more of what I'm looking for, casual, friendly and relaxed.

We were stuck in Jundah for 3 days due to flooding. Ate and drank at the Jundah hotel each night, huge meals and great quality, cold beer and more than friendly service always on for a chat. Nearby rooms are modern and clean, all u could want

Loved staying the night at the hotel caravan park. Big drive through sites and great toilet and BBQ facilities.
Food at the hotel was amazing - very big serves and well priced. Warren is a legend! Would happily stay again!
Great night at the pub even though Queensland lost the State of Origin!

Stopped over in the adjoining caravan park. Had a few beers in the pub. Service was excellent although quite busy. Publican has a great sense of humour. Very friendly place and well worth a visit if in area.

Words fail me to truly describe this experience however don't not stay here under any circumstance, bed linen not changed, dirty rooms, list goes on and on. Food is just acceptable if you like everything deep fried however nothing else in town except a small general store with lovely people running it, bring your own food and stay at council run dongers which are much, much better.
Management of pub should leave as clearly not interested in running the pub and are giving the town a very bad name, just ask any locals.
If I could leave zero stars I would.

We were driving from Birdsville and wished to visit Lark Quarry before then overnighting it in Winton so an overnight "motel" stop first in Jundah was really the only option. From previous reviews we knew that it would be a very basic room with shared bathroom facilities. For $65 I thought that the accommodation was reasonable.
Clean sheets, a TV and a working fridge once turned on. If fellow travellers also had reasonable expectations it would make sense too.
Our pub meal was very pleasing with a huge rump steak each.
Note that the back road from Jundah to Lark Quarry is also very basic but doable n the dry in a soft SUV. We passed only 4 other vehicles in 5+ hour's driving.
