Detailed Reviews
There isn’t a lot in this town but the friendliness of the people is fantastic. We stayed 2 nights at the eulo queen camping. We had a blazing camp fire which was awesome and the toilet facilities were spotlessly clean. The publican Col was good value and spun a good yarn and kept us all entertained. Dinner with the crew filming Opal Hunters was a treat and the meals were top notch. Overall great stay would definitely go again. Stop at the artesian mud baths too they were great!

Spent a night here in a 3 bed cabin. Beds were a tad soft but very comfortable. Shower was great with strong pressure & good hot water. Room was clean, just well used & the red dirt of the outback stuck in corners. Intended to have dinner in the pub but Sunday night fare was a choice of 2 (fried chicken or curry pork) & neither took our fancy so we had cheese & crackers in our room as there are no cooking facilities. I would come back as suitable but being outback Queensland, don't expect luxury.

We stayed in a cabin. Firstly the cabin we were provided was unclean and displayed signs of not being cleaned with old used soap in the shower and opened milk in the fridge. There was not even any cup and spoons to enjoy a coffee.
We registered our concerns with the office who gave us the keys to other units with the words return the keys of the cabins you don’t want.
The cabin chosen whilst not fully clean was comfortable.

Room Tip:Â Unfortunately thee is limited accomodation in Eulo but the price is a little high for what you get.

Cabins are advertised as sleeping 4 adults but each cabin only has one double and one single bed. We booked for 4 adults (family of 4) and on arrival were told that cabins only have 3 beds but we could have a spare mattress but no bedding. Fortunately the bed was a king single and our smallish kids could share the bed ok. The spare mattress was foam with a ripped cover and pretty gross.
Other than this (which is pretty big not having enough beds for the people you’ve booked for) it was cheap and the cabin was clean enough ) a few webs and the red dust is everywhere out that way )
Dinner was excellent in the pub and the owner while dour was actually pretty good company watching the women’s state of origin match.
An ok stay pricing is reflects what you get but NOT ENOUGH BEDS in a cabin

This is the first review I’ve ever written but feel compelled to warn people about our stay at the Eulo Queen Hotel.
We booked a cabin for the night for which we were charged $150, if we had been charged $75 it would have still been too much, the room was not very clean, there is no kitchen sink to wash up in, there is no crockery other than 2 coffee mugs, which meant that my wife had to eat cereal out of a coffee mug!
We decided to go to the pub for our dinner, the man behind the bar (publican?) was dressed in filthy old clothes and was VERY drunk and walked around swearing to the patrons.
The only positive about the place was the fabulous meal we ate at the restaurant.
We have spent many years travelling in outback Australia and I have to say this is the worst accommodation experience we have come across, my rating -4.

We had issues with our booking which led to losing a day of our tickets to Music in The Mulga.
Facilities in the cabin were limited , presumably encouraging eating at the pub that had excellent meals.
Access to our unit was tight for our vehicle and the price was higher than quoted.

We stated one night in a cabin at this great little pub and it was excellent. There are only three cabins in the pub yard, far enough away that you do not here any noise from the pub. The modern cabin has a comfortable double bed and bunks. There is air conditioning and a ceiling fan, table and chairs as well a a deck with seating. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable.
There were no cooking facilities but the pub has great meals and cold beer. Col, the owner/operator is tops.
Highly recommended.

After leaving Windorah early morning and driving six hours in 40 plus degree heat (no A/C in car so felt like 50 degrees) I spotted a billboard as I drove into Eulo. It read "It is un-Australian to not stop at the pub and have a beer". So I did. Gee I am glad I stopped!!!
Col the publican was sitting on the porch and offered me a hello and a beer. We had a great chat at the bar as it was just myself in the pub and because I enjoyed the first so much, I had a second beer. I was intending to continue onto Cunnamulla to camp for the night but Col was engaging I decided to grab a cabin for $88 and enjoy some A/C again.
The cabin itself is what I would call a miners camp accommodation. A king single in a small room with table, cupboard and separate shower/toilet. A/C and Tv as well. They do also have family cabins which I think are self contained but I did not have a look inside.
After a few hours sleep I went into the pub and sat at the bar with Col and a few other travelers who were sleeping in their own vans out the back of the pub. They also cater for van owners with power and amenities.
After a few great storied from Col and half dozen cold beers I ordered the chicken schnitzel parmi with chips and salad. Great vale for $15 (by memory).
On going to bed Col advised to come into the pub in the morning and make myself a cup of tea or coffee before I set off for my next stop. I was a bit late in moving the next morning so I didn't end up making one but again this just shows the hospitality of the place is great.

Great tasty pub meals, updated for fresh produce daily. Wonderfully friendly service. And ask about the birds, they know about all the local bird spots and you can see the Apostle birds from the deck. Real Australian Pub charm, highly recommend timing your trip to stop here for a meal and a drink.

I stayed 1 night in this beautiful quant little town during my explorations of Outback Aus and was welcomed with opened arms. The locals were such friendly and kind people, had the best night having a few drinks with Col and the locals and stayed in one of the aircon rooms on his property. Col even made me a coffee and some veggie toast in the morning to make sure I was all set for my next leg of road trip :)
