Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at District South Yarra. Staff are great - can't do enough to help. Location is terrific, just a couple of minutes walk from train station, with lots of food places including a supermarket just a few steps away Apartment was super clean and tidy, with a good amount of space and great facilities. But despite being in a busy area, hotel room was quiet, beds were comfortable and we had a great stay. Would definitely stay again, really enjoyed our visit to District South Yarra. If you are looking for an apartment hotel in Melbourne and don't mind being a little bit out of the city centre, then this is a great choice!

This place is terrible the worst part is the service . The girls that work there are so unhelpful and rude. I was there over 15 days renting 2 rooms and they denied to clean my room even though I was with kids. Worst part one of the rooms the plugs DID NOT work and it made me late to an important meeting. It’s it the worst!! Please don’t go there!

Hi Mel, We are always open to all kinds of feedback; however our team catered to your family's stay generously, assisting with shifting all your luggage upon arrival, departure & between apartments, as well as storage between early and late checkout. Regarding your complaint that we didn't provide a mid-stay clean, I would like to clarify that our housekeepers completed a complimentary full mid-stay clean 4 night's into your first stay, then you shifted 4 nights later into a new apartment for the remainder of your 5 nights with us. As advertised we offer a complimentary clean for bookings staying a minimum of 7 nights, this is completed 3-4 day's into guests booking which was fulfilled during your stay. The accomodation was very clean and all the facilities were first class. The staff on the reception desk could not do enough for you. Any enquires were dealt with promptly and fully to my satisfaction. Parking was excellent and very convenient to access. Transport by either tram or rail was very close by.

Modern apartments each with excellent facilities and comfortable beds. Able to be totally self contained whether for a few nights or longer stays. Very close to South Yarra train station and excellent public transport. Apartments serviced weekly. Very helpful reception staff. Excellent value for money.

Ok so these are quite new serviced apartments in a great location, right near South Yarra Station. Out of the hub Bub of the cbd but still central.... also a Woolworths nearby for groceries. Having a laundry and kitchenette (it’s not a full kitchen) is very handy It was clean and modern, so why only 3 stars. - the 2 bed units are very very small. They are the same square meterage as most 1 bedrooms I have lived in. Not a problem for a couple of nights but gets squishy after a week - the shower has no seal and the drain is positioned poorly so the bathroom floods every single time you use it. Also not a problem for a few days but because there is no daily housekeeping, I got sick of washing towels that I used to clean up the flooding. - the biggest issue for me was the a/c and the single reason I wouldn’t stay again. There is a/c in the living room but no ducts in the bedrooms. It wasn’t the height of summer when we stayed but still yuck. If you leave the doors open to the living room it’s ok but that defeats the purpose of getting an apartment. The windows open a little but not enough to get a breeze through. I am now staying in a hotel room but prefer it to be honest…

Never experienced such a rude attitude from a front desk person in my life. Tried to abide by her strict rules for staying and she was non negotiable making me feel as though i was offending her. offered a cash deposit and she would not accept legal tender which actually is against the law. Please find alternative accommodations when staying in melbourne as it i unless you like being talked down too.

Stayed for 2 nights on a short business trip and for me, the apartment was ideal. Plenty of space, well located, quiet and comfortable. Reception is closed at night but the self entry procedure is simple if you make them aware beforehand. Recommended!

We stayed at the District Apartment for 3 days in January for the Australian Open. The staff were very friendly and nmost helpful. It was a short walk from the apartment to Toorak Road and South Yarra Station - easy access to restaurants and public transport.The apatment was modern, clean, light and a pleasure to return to each day after a long day out at the tennis. We'll definitely be back.
