We deliberately avoided Taomina and we were so right. The steep and twisted drive to the Top Of the World is more than worthwhile. We were very fortunate to have found this guest house whilst still in England. By Sicilian standards it is brilliant.

Let's be honest, everyone visiting Sicily wants to stay in Taormina. At the same time, everyone who's willing to stay in Taormina in August, is gonna have a hard time finding a hotel that doesn't require of you to sell your house,mother, wife and soul to afford it. So Castelmola came an easy alternative, right at the top above Taormina....

Situated some 30m from the church and the cult-resto-bar turrisi , these studio appartments with a medieval touch are a good choice for backpackers and nature loving people . The Arthur room possesses a large terrace with a fantastic view upon Etna ! Before arrival some calls with the friendly owners are needed to appoint the key exchange ,, then...

Al Borgo Medievale is a series of apartments in a recently renovated building which claims to be be of medieval origin. We stayed in the Ginevre (Guinevere) Room on the top level for one night.
