The hotel is located in Castlemola - just above Taormina. The location (not in Taormina) is not a problem at all as there is a very convinient public bus as well as hotel (free) transport provided to / back from Taormina and to a fantastic beach. Note - this is best solution as parking in taormina is very expensive and...

We stayed here 2 nights and loved it! Great view of Mt. Etna. Wonderful breakfasts and it was warm enough to eat outside the 2nd morning. Dinner was good, but maybe menu could use one "usual" offer. Maybe we are not used to Sicilian food. We very highly recommend this hotel and the staff was really nice, both at reception...

We have recently returned from a lovely week at the Villa Sonia - our room and the stunning views over Mount Etna were breathtaking. The Staff were always so friendly and always eager to help in anyway - which makes a great change. Would highly recommend and do look forward to returning another time

This hotel does boast incredible views as mentioned in the other reviews. However, they seem to be using this to overcharge customers, as corners appear to have been cut in many other key areas. For example, the gym is no more than a cynical excuse to push up their star rating - it is in fact just some very, very...

We stayed 3 nights at the Villa Sonia in Castelmola, as part of our 16 day tour of Sicily. We had a beautiful and very comfortable room, with a terrace overlooking Mount Etna. The staff are very friendly and helpful, really going out of their way to please you. The free shuttle into Taormina is very handy. Soaking up the...

Despite getting a cheap deal, we got an upgraded room and wine and fruit brought to us as a welcome gift. The view of Etna was marvellous from our balcony. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was especially nice with fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything was very clean and the wifi was always good. The location high up...

We had the most wonderful week away. Maria, Giuseppe x 2 and Adriana made our visit extra special. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating team! Rooms spacious and most spectacular view of Mount Etna. They recommend great places to eat outside of the hotel and also made good recommendation for tour guides too. Food in the restaurant also very good.

This hotel is fantastic. Great location and worth every penny. The common areas are lovely. Our room was spacious and well appointed and overlooked Mount Etna which was a big plus. At an extra charge, we attended a festive Sicilian evening meal with an expansive assortment of high quality food that included wine, music and song. Our only regret is...
