A group of us visited the bar at Banarama and it was a pure delight to be greeted by the bartender with a warm and welcoming smile. This was my first cocktail and it was blended to perfection. The bar is clean and well maintained....More
The hotel was ok, it is not 5 stars but it was affordable. On the other hand, the people running the hotel and the activities were marvelous. They made sure our needs were met, that we had reliable and safe transportation. The guards were amazing...More
I’m definitely going to go back to that hotel, it’s in the best zone of the island, they have all the things to assure you a great adventure experience, the only problem is the parking, they have spot for only 2 cars.
Leased a vehicle at the port for $55 (new compact SUV all day) & drove to beautiful West Bay where we found the Bananarama Resort-fee was $10 per person for use of beach chairs, facilities including changing rooms, wifi, & security. Unfortunately wifi was not...More
It is hard to compare Bananarama, because it is very unique. We went on our family trip (we have twin 8 year olds who are very active) and we were looking for a location that was off the beaten path - a place where we...More

Banarama has bathrooms near the beach as well as enclosed change rooms to use. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off after being on the beach. It is FREE to use the beach chairs as long as you have purchased food or drink from them. If you don't purchase food or drink, then it is a $10 rental fee. Drinks range from $2.50 to $5 depending on what you get. Food ranges ~ $8-15, lots of variety, good. There are beach vendors that sell empanadas ($10 for 4 empanadas, look for the men with the red coolers) and local food place Arlyn's immediately outside resort (typico lunch $4-5 which includes a meat (chicken, beef, pork, fish, shrimp), beans/rice and a salad. They resort has live music in the bar from around noon to 3:00.
The cost to get there depends on which cruise port you are at - Coxen Hole is the closer port and Mahoganey Bay is further away. Taxi from Coxen Hole is ~ $60 round-trip. However, if you have at least 4 people going, you can book a shuttle for the entire day for $100 - they will take you anywhere you want, including time at the beach. If you get time, go to Daniel Johnsons Monkey & Sloth sanctuary! You could also contact the hotel directly to ask what price they would get for a shuttle for you.

Sorry! Didn’t get notified of another question. Personally 24 wouldn’t work for us. Too close to the bar and a little tiki bar area where people hang out. 26 is right behind 25 and is more private. Not direct view on the beach but honestly 25 steps away. Either would be fine but I personally would choose 26 over 24.
