My partner and I really enjoy returning to the hotel. The decor and style is to our liking. Rooms clean and modern! Great terrace to take in the views (summer and winter are equally as breathtaking!!)

In the winter, the boot room being heated is amazing for your stiff feet too! Having a ski rental just underneath the hotel is amazing as you can boot up and literally ski straight out! Everyone is helpful. the hotel even sells ski passes too!

We’re not a huge fan of the restaurant when tried during our stays, it’s just not to our palate. However there are plenty of places to try out in the village, we always try to eat everywhere at least once!

Parking is expensive under the hotel, but really worth it in the winter months to keep the car safe and snow free!

The spa has always had a free time and then a charge time. It used to be free a few years back till 2/3 (hazy memory) but now it’s 10-13:00 which is quite restrictive charging €20 per person after this time. There are so many other spas in the area now that offer wider facilities for a similar price. I’m hoping when We return next things might have changed slightly.

We really love this hotel. It’s a quiet hotel that suits us. It features a comfortable, if quiet bar with a jazz evening once a week. The ski in/ski out is perfect with the run 5 paces from the heated boot room lockers. Our room was comfortable, clean and maids serviced the room every day. Tea and coffee in the room; good Wi-Fi connection; reasonable choices from the menu - you wouldn’t starve - and we found the staff very pleasant and helpful.
Enjoyed it so much we are booking for a 3rd visit in January 2023.
There is a TV in the room but only the English speaking programme was “Bloomberg” (Take your pre loaded laptops).
The hotel is at one end of the village, away from bars and restaurants.
Most coaches drop off 200 yards from the hotel with an uphill walk to drag your luggage, but that is only once!!
Montgenevre is a quiet resort Monday to Friday but weekends can be busy with “local” visitors.

Absolutely fantastic stay at this lovely hotel. Immaculate room with view of the slopes and small balcony.
Breakfast buffet with massive choice of fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese, hot option of bacon, eggs etc.
Heated boot locker with easy ski in ski out access to northern slopes.
Five minute walk into the village but if you've got ski's and poles to carry a free bus into the village every 25 minutes 8-6pm
Restaurant top class food with fantastic choices.
Lovely bar area and lounge with open fire
Large terrace by the bar and a fast food option downstairs.
Small spa with pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, (must be booked in advance to keep numbers down)
Staff very helpful and friendly especially in the bar and on reception.

My friend and I stayed at the Anove for a skiing trip in january 2022. Altough it is well located for easy access to the piste and does have some positive features, overall it was very disappointing. Firstly , our room ( No.3) was located near to the spa but was very poorly furnished without enough wardrobe and drawer space . consequently we had to live out our suitcases on the floor. The bathroom was a "wet room" with a similar lack of storage space for our toiletries apart from a small table. No shelves, cupboards or anywhere else to put our toiletries. The beds were adequate but not super comfortable. we stayed on a half-board basis and the buffet breakfast was excellent. However, the dinner service was a big let down. The french only menu ( no translations) was full of flowery French descriptions which even my companion, who is a language tutor, could not understand. The price of drinks in the bar and restaurant was exorbitant. Most of the serving staff were good but one in particular (Sebastion) was extremely impatient, rude and aggressive such that we had to make a formal complaint to the management. The rest of the staff though were friendly, helpful and efficient. The spa is to be avoided if you have any skin sensitivity. After using it once only I had eczema breakouts all over my body. We would not recommend this hotel which is a pity because its failings would be relatively easy and cheap to rectify.

We were so disappointed with our trip for two reasons.

Firstly, there was a huge party going on until 2am with loud music and screaming. We had to ask 5 times for it to stop. Eventually had to go down to the bar in pyjamas to plead with staff at 2am. It appears they were evading French covid requirements for nightclubs to close. The staff were so rude when I asked them could they turn the music down asking “why didn’t I want to join the party”. When speaking to the manager the next day it appears the party was for a certain group of guests who return every year. Is this a private chalet for those particular guests or a (very expensive) hotel which treats all guests equally?

Secondly, covid requirements were non existent. We were not asked for a covid vaccination pass (the manager telling me he couldn’t check everyone - essentially breaking the law), there was little to no mask wearing or social distancing. We left after two nights feeling that we would almost certainly get covid if we stayed.

Would not recommend. In addition to the above, very expensive for what you get. Not for couples or families. Certain “returning” guests got preferential treatment to the detriment of every other paying guest.

We travelled with Crystal and all went very smoothly.
We were greeted with a 100 cm snow dump... which really gave great ski conditions.
Great location for ski in and out. A supermarket at the bottom of the slope, handy for drinks and snacks. Ski bus to pick you up from hotel if you want to get to the other side of the resort without ski-ing around to it.
The room was lovely, very clean, with balcony overlooking drag lift. Great shower. Bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. Kettle and cups also supplied (don't always get this) and small fridge.
We didn't use the spa facilities.
Love Montgenevre as a ski area, certainly suits me as some lovely long blues and greens to keep me happy in my advancing years.
The staff were lovely and very helpful. We had a problem with our safe in the room functioning, the receptionist came up several times to try and help out, but in the end it was left to a technician to sort. Same with the ski locker in the basement, but all sorted in the end.
We had an evening of entertainment, an amazing Jazz type duo played an excellent set which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thumbs up for 'Blue Moon'.
We were halfboard.
The only reason not giving a 5 star rating, was the problem we experienced with the Breakfast buffet. Breakfast ran until 10am. We would get there between 8.30 to 9am. The first morning they ran out of bread, I overheard a French man asking for bread, to be told they had run out and would not be able to get anymore. The pastry basket was empty, I asked for croissants and was told some would come out, about 15 minutes later some appeared. Other items of food had run out - such as bacon, scrambled eggs.... again a long wait to be replenished. Also problem of tables not being reset, meaning people were having to sit at uncleaned tables and find their own crockery. This was not a one off and happened the next two mornings, at which point I complained to our Rep about the situation. We had become like hawks, waiting for the food to appear, which should not be the case. It appeared to be a problem of not enough staff to man the buffet.
Our rep told the Hotel management, so hopefully this is something they will get right in the future as a shame compared to the rest of our experience at the hotel which was good.

We booked this hotel with Crystal Ski on half board basis. Everything from start to finish ran very smoothly with regular texts/calls from the Crystal rep and a contact number incase we needed anything.
Transfer time is only 1hr 30mins.
The rep arranged a table in the restaurant for 9.15pm as we were arriving late. All staff are friendly and very accommodating.
Breakfast served from 8-10am was lovely with lots of choice. Evening meal from 7pm was really good and exceeded our expectations. We had a vegetarian and a fussy teenager in our party and there was always a choice.
We enquired about breakfast on check out day as we were leaving the hotel at 6.30am and they kindly made up a packed lunch for travelling.
Overall a fantastic trip and hotel and we hope to return.

Well, this trip took years to take (thanks, Covid!) but it was worth the wait. We absolutely loved the Anova... it had exactly everything we needed from a very spacious room (we had a junior suite on two levels... teens on one floor, we were on the other), super easy access to skiing with adjacent lockers, a great bar, wonderful terrace and super helpful staff. Cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Montgenevre. Wonderful - would love to go back!

On a 3 day stay, hotel offers very nice architecture, rooms well furnished, great terrace and views, good spa, etc... staff is friendly and available, nice lounge bar and restaurant (quality maybe not excellent but perfect for a good dinner). Definitely to recommend, for a relaxing stay or hike in the surroundings.
