With an open hearth fire in the dining area and a comfy chill out area by the bar to socialise with the other guests, this place offers a great chalet experience.

At the chalet, Emma (the chalet manager), Mike S (the bar manager), Pippa, Verely, Mike and Nigel (the chef) make a great team and did all they could to answer questions and help us feel welcome and at home (including getting the wood fired hot tub heated ready for when we were back from a big day on the slopes). Emma (and Mike) were also very helpful in highlighting the apres opportunities, booking restaurants for lunch and even hosted an evening quiz at the chalet to great success in bringing the whole chalet together.

The afternoon cake, evening canapes and meals were very tasty and varied. Hats off to Nigel's culinary skills! And to top things off, the 3 course evening meal was followed by a complementary cheese selection and an optional cheeky glass of port for €1 (if you were so inclined).

On the mountain, Emma, Mike S and Pippa were great ski hosts, always sharing their knowledge of the area and of what terrain to expect from each upcoming run. I felt I was able to see so much more of the mountain as we weren't having to plan a route beforehand. We'd then have time to explore the mountain on our own after lunch. I'd not experienced ski hosting before but highly recommend it if you're a reasonably competent skier/boarder. Just speak with Emma or the hosts for your week (they change week on week) if you're unsure if it's for you - there's a faster group for the more speedier and experienced individual and a more paced group for those wanting a more chilled ride.

Thankyou Emma, Mike, Pippa, Verely, Mike and Nigel for a truly amazing week! If I could, I'd definitely be back again this season!

We have worked our way through the Ski Miquel brochure over the years and have stayed with them twice before at Montgenevre, although this was our first visit to their new chalet, Lucille.

The chalet itself has a large lounge with plenty of comfortable seating and a well stocked bar. The dining room is also pretty spacious, and as the chalet was not at full capacity, there was masses of room. Turning to the bedrooms, we were lucky in that we had family room with three beds plus an annex with two further bunk beds. As there were just the two of us there was more than enough space. The rooms are comfortably furnished and warm, with their own en suite with plenty of hot water, critical after a long day on the slopes.

One word on the food, brilliant! There a big buffet breakfast (cereals, cheeses, ham, breads, boiled eggs etc) plus one or two different hot options each day (fried or scrambled eggs, pancakes, porridge etc). As you come off the slopes there are home made cakes or biscuits waiting, while at 7.30 tasty canapes are served. However it is the evening meals that stand out with three courses plus cheese plus unlimited wine. The food is plentiful, tasty and well presented so hats off to the welsh wizard in the kitchen!

A real plus point of the Ski Miquel hols is the guiding which is a great way to discover the resort without getting the map out. Skiers can chose as espresso group which goes faster with less stops, or cappuccinos who take things a bit more leisurely. The two groups always meet up for coffee and lunch, so its a really sociable way of skiing.

Underpinning everything is chalet manager Emma and her wonderful team. As mentioned, we have skied with this company numerous time and they do have a knack of finding the right people to look after their guests. However this year the hosts were just exceptional and I cannot speak highly enough of them.

All in all, a great week of skiing and I have now doubt we will visit this resort again.

Very comfortable accommodation, once I had turned the radiator down, excellent food and extremely helpfull staff. The week was over far too quickly :-(. Lucille is around a 5 minute walk from the main street of the resort and 10 minutes from the ski hire and equipment lockers. It is then another 5 minutes to the nearest chair lift. There are pistes to match all abilities from gentle greens to off piste. On piste catering and toilets services are limited, but there are plenty of places to have lunch at the base in Montgenevre, although the prices can be a bit expensive, 8 euro for a coffee and cake or 14 to 17 euro for a main course lunch.
The wifi is free, but only seems to be in the communal areas.
Overall though an excellent and thoruoghly enjoyable first experience with Ski Miquel.

We spent a very enjoyable first week of January with Ski Miquel at Chalet Lucille in Montgenevre. The staff could not have been more helpful from Emma the manager, Mike and Mike who did the ski guiding, Pippa and Vereley serving the food and attending to the rooms and last but far from least Nigel the very talented chef. What was noticeable was how all the staff helped out and really worked well as a team. The chalet rooms were comfortable, the food very good and the general feeling really relaxed with all the groups mixing well. We didn't try the wood fuelled hot tub but it was much appreciated by other guests with aching legs after the skiing. The lounge and bar worked well and we had a very entertaining quiz on one evening. The Montgenèvre ski area is great and the ski guiding with the Mikes, and one day with Pippa, made it easy to explore the whole range of runs on offer. It was really convenient leaving our skis and boots in the heated locker room next to the ski hire shop. This is just over the road from the piste and a very short walk from the chalet. We will certainly travel with Ski Miquel again and return to Montgenevre. Thanks for super holiday.

We had a fantastic week at Chalet-Hotel Lucille. Emma the chalet manager and all the team were excellent. Mike S makes a great drink in the evening and all the staff were so friendly, helpful polite and efficient. The food was excellent and the afternoon tea and cake (homemade) and canapes were a nice touch. Dietary requirements were catered for really well (and without any fuss) with just as lovely and thoughtful alternatives when required.
The ski hosting is top notch! It's a fantastic way to see the mountain, explore all the best areas and experience some lovely coffee/bombadino and lunch stops. Emma was our guide for the week and was great at heading to routes suitable for the whole group. We were a small group of snowboarders and Emma was great at making sure we had the same experience as the skiiers including little tips to avoid getting stuck on flats which was much appreciated. Emma also helped to sort out a private lesson on the first afternoon which helped build my confidence back up after a few years off the slopes and to make the most of the full 6 days.
The hot tub outside is a great addition to sooth the muscles after a hard day on the slopes. Although it is traditionally heated with a wood fire the staff were great at making sure it was plenty warm enough for the afternoon.
Overall we had a fantastic time. Emma, Mike and the team (little mike, Verily, Nigel and Pippa) did everything to make sure we had the best time. Our first time with Ski Miquel and we will most definitely be back again.

So our group of 4 was part of the last group to manage a full weeks skiing before lock down. And what a week! Temperatures reached 16 degrees, no skiing in Italy due to the pistes being shut, but did it bother us, absolutely not!
Firstly the chalet, good position in the centre of things, a 5-10 minutes walk to the ski hire shop to pick up your ski's for the day. Now the downside for us, that due to the warm conditions, we couldn't really ski to the lifts due to the snow being of glue consistency and it is a relatively flat schuss to the lift. But normal conditions and you would be fine.
Food, oh my goodness, Nigel you are a genius! Amazing menu's all week.
Now the rooms can be a bit hit and miss - our travelling companions had a lovely large room with balcony but ours was tiny (room 5) and the thinnest walls know to man. But we managed to turn it aound into good old British humour and ended up saying good morning and good night to our neighbours every day!
Staff went above and beyond, no staff training could ever have prepared chalet manager Emma for the C word. She remained calm and kept us informed as and when she knew anything, we got home safely with minimum fuss. Huge thumbs up team Emma (you reminded me of a swan that week, calm on the top but underneath paddling like mad!)!! You did well girl!!
To sum up, would we use Ski Miguel again, of course we would. Excellent value for money and food top notch and beds comfy - what else do you need? Oh, and the company that week was the best, but you can't always account for that can you?!

Our group of 23 just about filled the chalet but we did meet two youngsters who were also staying and everybody got on like a chalet on fire. Adam and Mel, hope you haven’t gone home scarred for life😂! The team looking after us were fantastic. Andre, Sinead, Carlos, Adam and Ige. Breakfast was from 8 to 9 with the keen skiers down first, followed by the B team, then coming up at the rear the non skiers. Doesn’t make any difference. We all got a beautiful breakfast to set us up for the day. Do what you want after that then afternoon tea was served at 4.30. Tea/coffee and cake. Go and get changed/showered before 6.30 when the bar opens and you can talk about what you’ve got up to through the day or play cards/board games until the canapes arrive at 7.30. Dinner is served at 8, and it was gorgeous. Usually 3 courses followed by cheese if you had room! Compliments to Spanish chef Carlos! On Thursday the staff get a night off, and we had to eat out. Makes you appreciate what we had at the chalet. No comparison. The whole week was brilliant. Blue skies, snow, good company and a superb team of people to look after us. What more would you want? Thank you everybody.

I had travelled with Ski Miquel before so I knew what to expect. A nice cosy week with fantastic food thanks to the ever smiling chef Nigel. Great chalet hosts Emma & bearded Mike. Plus chalet staff Pippa, Verilie & little Mike who were always super friendly and helpful. Our room was a decent size, having 3 beds for the 2 of us, a nice balcony & a very small but functional (slightly dated) bathroom with a shower & heated towel rail. The chalet was only a short walk away from the ski shop where Ski Miquel have a private locker room with heated boot warmers. This was also very conveniently located for the slopes just across the road. But the best thing of all was the atmosphere. It was a super crowd of people staying the week we were there, all quite like minded ski enthusiasts, with a wicked sense of humour! Will definitely be working our way through the various resorts in the Ski Miquel brochure and can’t wait to do it all again next year.

Just spent a week with Ski Miquel in Montgenèvre. This was our second trip and we will definitely be booking again for next year. The chalet hotel feels like a cosy chalet rather than a hotel and the service you get is what you would expect in a private chalet too. The photo shows a large building but only the bottom 2 floors are Lucille so don’t be out off by its size.
The food was fantastic on both visits but this year Chef Nigel made every meal amazing. He also made us sandwiches to take to the airport with us which was a lovely touch. The afternoon cakes were different every day and really lovely. The breakfast options were also cooked to perfection! He is a real credit to Ski Miquel and I hope he is there next season.
The other staff are helpful and thoughtful and really approachable which is lovely.
The resort itself is great - lovely and quiet. The ski guiding from the staff is so useful and you have a choice of two groups, the cappuccinos or the espressos. The staff are great guides and explain every step of the way.
I really recommend this company and I’m looking forward to seeing more of their resorts.
Thank you everyone.

Plenty of blue sky, great snow and guiding on the pistes topped off with good company and a tremendous chalet experience. We can thoroughly endorse all that others have said in thanking Emma and the chalet crew for their attention to detail, and a special mention for Nigel who conjured up delectable alternatives for a dairy/gluten free diet. Altogether a memorable holiday!
