My husband booked a room in Kasteel Wurfeld for Friday evening to celebrate my birthday. As we live the other side of the country he thought it would be nice to have dinner, stay the night and then leave on Saturday for a leisurely drive home. From their website it all sounded wonderful and their brochure we picked upon arrival...

At Kasteel Wurfeld you stay in a nice castle, which is nice decorated with lights during the winter period. You can also enjoy great food served by the very friendly waiter. You always feel welcome thanks to the fantastic hospitality. In the neighbourhood, you can have a nice, very good indicated walk, which starts next to the castle.

Perfect place for the combination of a businessmeeting with dinner afterwards. Friendly reception and free wifi. Large parking. Nice castle ambiance. Good food and wines! I can recommend this location as well for a family dinner.

The hotel is a sprawling mansion townhouse in beautiful grounds - so finding your way around is interesting. Our welcome was so nice - we were shown to our room and everything was explained to us. The room was a bit small but fine for us - the layout was a bit odd. No airco, but there are nets on...

very nice hideaway - perfect to combine shopping (Maasmechelen) fine dining (@the hotel) and nature. Nice rooms & Excellent food & wines. So far that would be 5/5 stars (-) Unfortunately the breakfast buffet falls far behind expectations - I'd rather pay an extra to get fresh fruit & pastry

Nice surroundings, friendly staff (and owners), good for a walk in the surroundings. The idea to start biking in the area, with good acces to the Park Hoge Kempen, and a visit to Maaseik. Food is god, with a lovely view in the garden - in summertime sitting outside must be nice.

I booked a night at the Wurfeld Castle, as we went to the Drielandenpunt for a weekend (Aachen, Maastricht, and some places in Belgium). We ordered 2 3-person rooms. The personnel was very friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised when one of the rooms was upgraded to a 4-person room. Instantly we decided that the room would be occupied by...

Spend 2 nights on business in Maaseik and stayed at the Wurfeld Castle, greeted by a warm welcome from the old front desk officer. Rooms were clean and tidy, wifi in the room worked good. Dinner at the restaurant was good with a lovely view on the garden, the Christmas decoration in the garden was really neat. Breakfast in the...

Nice welcome for a start: the owner picked us up at the bus stop (we don't have a car). Extremely friendly and professional personnel. The site could be more attractive - the 'castle' is in the midst of a beautiful park. Ideal for walks (the red one, 7 1/2 km travels through the remains of an old morass) and for...

We spend 2 days in Kasteel Wurfeld, with 4 couples. The suoerior rooms are nice, with some differences One room was well suited for older people (walk in shower, instead of bath). Two room had a balcony. The weather was nice , so we could really enjoy the large parc and the terraces. Service is friendly and efficient. The hotel...
