Came last night after leaving another restaurant in the area . Good food, starter was scallops / black pudding Nice large fresh plump scallops to die for. Service was great a lovely Scottish girl served us. Definitely recommend going.

The restaurant is full of character. The menu choice is huge but all food was of high quality. No problems managing a large group. Food was hot and all arrived in good time and together. Friendly staff and manager. Prices very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

I love this place. Every time I have friends and family coming over from home I take them here so they can enjoy a good meal in a picturesque english Pub. I feel cosy, welcome and warm every time I step through the door. I love the breaded brie and vegetarian wellington and the salad that comes with it is delicious....

Have enjoyed eating here for years but have only had Sunday lunch once, years ago, so decided to give it another go. It's important to make a reservation as it gets packed. Shown to our table & looked at menu which had a great choice on it. A very relaxed environment, subtle music playing in the background & friendly, professional...

Visited last night for dinner, what a lovely place. Staff were friendly, atmosphere was great, plenty of choice (plus gluten free options kept me happy), quick service, didn't wait long for our meals to arrive. There was plenty to eat and the food was really good and pretty reasonable price given the size of the portions. We'd definitely return if...

There isn't a lot of choice around Sedgefield so took a chance. Welcome was friendly, room clean & comfortable even if the decor a little old & tired, ensuite bathroom sparkling clean. The only problem with the rooms is the paper thin walls & the old wooden headboards bang against the wall, so if next door moves you know it,...

We arrived for a two night break over Easter arriving on the Saturday evening Unfortunately, there were no allocated parking places for residents which meant waiting for a parking space on the main road which wasn't too bad as we could see the car from the room. The reception was between the bar and the restaurant which, at the time...

I'd like to say at the outset here that all the staff who dealt with us were lovely , smiling, welcoming , helpful and professional . However , if this inn is offering bed and breakfast it needs to think hard about the poor quality of that part of the experience. The bed we had to use was very very...

My family and I enjoyed a very nice Sunday dinner. Very tasty, generous portions and good customer service. The interior is a quirky interesting layout, like a rabbit's Warren with lovely candleabra on the tables. Will be back, would recommend!

My wife and I ate here recently, we did not book and although they were pretty full managed to find us a table and we did not have to wait too long for our meals. There was a slight problem with one of our meals but it was put right immediately to our entire satisfaction. The service could not be...
