We stayed in the upgraded suite, very comfy four poster bed, quiet room with everything needed . The maid was lovely lady nothin to much trouble for her. We know the area well so knew easy access to the motorway but far enough away it was quiet. Breakfast was great, full English freshly made to order, everything on offer to...

Last week (6 Jan) at very short notice I was booked into this hotel. I didn't have time to check it out and because I live some distance away, I had no idea of what to expect. After a very long day I arrived and straight away, you could not help but be impressed by the building and the grounds...

We had a very relaxing visit here for afternoon tea, followed by a stroll around Hardwick park. Words can not do justice to the fabulous level of service we received. As we leisurely made our way through each mouth-watering tier, our waitress went to great lengths to ensure we had a plentiful supply of hot, fresh tea. A lovely afternoon...

My husband and I stayed at Hardwick Hall from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The staff, the service and the food were all excellent. The hotel and grounds are very pleasant .

The hotel stay could not be faulted, the room was excellent, breakfast was also the same, our only problem was the decibels at the concert but that is probably an age thing,as we are both getting on a bit.

We arrived full of expectation for a New Year celebration with family, after all what could go wrong we have been attending the event for around 10 years now. The alarm bells should have rung when we were asked to pay up front, this had never happened before we always settled the account in full on departure. All three couples...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment of not being upgraded – we had only one larger room type available on the first night and without any knowledge of the attendees we thought it appropriate to upgrade the organiser of your group. On that evening, despite a room change, I’m...

I went with my family for Christmas dinner and couldn't of been more disappointed, the room we were seated in was massive and people were packed in like sardines. One of our party had to wait 20 minutes for her meal after every one had there's, the main meal was average at best, the Xmas pudding was lukewarm, had to ask...

I attend quite a few functions and charity events at Hardwick Hotel but this was the first time I'd been for a Christmas party night and can definitely say I will not be returning. It seems that the hotel try to cram as many people as they can into a room. When we arrived there weren't the right number of...

We attended the New Years Eve Gala Ball last night, and after a fantastic night last year we decided to make a day/night of it and stay over. The price we paid was very reasonable (and probably not much more than a taxi home on New Years Eve / Day). We were checked in quickly and efficiently by the friendly...

We booked for one night but wish we'd been able to stay for longer. Arrived on a frosty day with the lake and grounds looking spectacular. Enjoyed afternoon tea with friends. Staff were great although bar manager was harassed. Room was warm, inviting and had beautiful views of the lake. Peace and quiet prevailed followed by a lovely (cooked to...
