It was excellent . Beautiful views and warm welcoming hosts! We enjoyed every minute. Cottages ideal for winter and summer stays. The mountains are majestic and there is lots to do and and see. We will definitely be back!

Awesome time had all round. Stunning view and tranquillity. Fun activities for the children. One critic I would have is the amount of flies there are. The bug sprayer in the kitchen and bedroom where both empty.

We visited Tulbagh for three days and stayed at Eikelaans. We had a very warm welcome. Lynette and Fanie are so kind and lovely. They are doing everything that their guests feel comfortable. And you are convinced from the first moment that they do love their village and want to show their guests the lovely site of Tulbagh too. We...

We enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome. Close to town and amenities. Owners went out of the way to find another overnight stay as they were booked up afterwards. Wholehartedly recommended. Price for european standards very moderate

The stay at the cottages on Eikelaan Farm was out of this world. The cottages were so comfortable, charming and extremely clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and efficient. The owners, Mr and Mrs Fourie were so hospitable and friendly, nothing was too much for them. The tranquility and peace was magical. Home grown organic produce was also available which...

Stayed at these lovely farm cottages for a second time recently as I attended a wedding in the area. Very well kept cottages and exceptional service. I was able to walk around the working farm with my infant of 7 months and show him the animals. Thanks Lynette for making us feel so welcome.

Stayed at Eikelaan in preparation of my son's upcoming wedding in Tulbagh. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation is very spacious, comfortable and has everything one needs during their stay ( Wifi, fireplace, TV, etc..). There is a communal pool area. Make sure to sample the farm's delicious produce. Delicious, olives, olive oil, preserved figs, honey, veg...

Dear Amale, It was lovely meeting you. I think about you so often preparing for your sons wedding. How terribly exciting. We look forward to seeing you back on the farm over the wedding weekend. Good luck for all the preperation. Regards Fanie and Lynette Fourie. P.S. Hope you enjoyed your veggies.

A good spot to explore the area with only a short drive to town and located within several great attractions. With the heat the swimming pool provides much relief with a play area for the kids. The cutlery could be improved slightly.

Perfectly positioned. A stones throw away from historic Tulbagh, Wolseley, and Ceres. The Fourie's have created a perfect place for families. Large lawns, animals, playground equipment, pool. Cottages are large. Unpretentious place. The hosts have many hot tips on the region and if you listen carefully you will be able to get access to Witzenberg treasure troves denied to most...

We spent two nights at Eikelaan. The self-catering cottage was so roomy, full kitchen, perfect bedding, everything we needed and more. Lynnette And Fannie are so gracious. Even tracked us down when we left items. And seeing a blue crane land near the pond out in the field was a treat. Not to be missed was light on the mountains...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On offer at this neat working farm with wheat, vines, olives, sheep and cattle are 3 luxury self-catering cottages all fronted by an open vista of green fields merging into blue mountains – an appealing contrast of the soft and rugged. The cottages are light and airy, fully equipped and decorated in natural hues and textures. Wide windows and double doors drench the interior in light, terracotta floors inject the rustic country edge, offset by warm sisal mats, natural cream curtains, crisp white linen and thick duvets. All have indoor fireplaces, making for cozy winters in a corner of the world where snow on the nearby mountains isn't uncommon. On the other hand, if you’re dropping in during the summer months you’ll be thrilled to know the units have air-con and overhead fans, as well as easy access to a swimming pool (with lapa). ... more   less
