Our Caravan Park is located on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia and is just 75 kms south of Adelaide. It is a leisurely 10 minute walk to the centre of town which has many cafes, a hotel and great shopping. The park offers the traveller a variety of accommodation from 1 & 2 bedroom cabins, powered ensuite sites, grassed powered and unpowered sites and budget bunkhouse accommodation. There is a large open plan kitchen with open fireplace, a games room and playground. The Park is situated right next to the Foreshore, Jetty, Cafe & Surf club. It is surrounded by sandhills, beautiful Norfolk Island Pine Trees and has picturesque hillside views over the Bungala river.

We were lucky to get Bay 1 an unpowered camp site in the south park, with lush grass tucked behind the sand hills, perfect for our 2 camper trailers. A short walk to the basic but generally clean facilities (bugs were a problem- if there were paper towels Im sure people would wipe them away and then the sinks would be be much nicer to use). An even shorter walk to the access track down to the wonderful unpopulated beach, and no walk at all needed to watch the family of kangaroos that were resident in the vegetation bordering our campsite. A camp kitchen would improve the park but at least there were sinks with hot water to do our dishes. We had a great time and the reception staff were delightful. A shame it will be over-run with cabins in the future but hopefully they will be confined to the north part of the park.

My partner and i booked a 3 night stay on a powered site for a camping getaway and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Upon arrival we were kindly advised whilst a specific plot of land had been designated for us, we could choose any other available powered site we preferred which was generous and allowed to pick another more secluded site, shielded by an annual site on one side to protect us from winds. We were lucky to organize our meals so we weren't reliant on a camp kitchen but were under the impression we would have access to one according to our booking online and this was unable to be fulfilled due to renovations on the side it's usually located. The toilet/shower and outside washing up facilities however were extremely clean. We were grateful for the location as we had the ability to walk into town and straight onto the beach on a picturesque private boardwalk. We checked out closer to 11am whilst the requirement was at 10 and had no negative repercussions and a lovely chat with the manager and caretaker. The boom gates after hours were also not functioning properly so when we popped out for tea one night and the other got takeaway hot chips to add to our meal and both times had to call the caretaker to open the gate for us to enter but they were very kind nonetheless. Overall a very positive experience and would definitely stay again in both the winter and summer.

Great caravan park in a wonderful location, the sites are big, the amenities are clean and the hot water is steaming hot. Do yourself a favour and come and stay at this great caravan park in beautiful Normanville. The drive in looking at the scenery is worth the trip but there is so much more to see and do when you arrive. The camp kitchen is set up with everything you will ever need and the games room even has two massage chairs for the parents to relax in whilst the kids are playing.

Nice clean cabin and great service. Unbeatable location with direct beach access. Nearby Surf Club has 2 restaurants and kiosk selling coffee, take away food and ice cream 7 days a week from 7.30am till sunset. Only around 10 minute walk to town which has an IGA, cafes and a pub and bottle shop. Highly recommend.

WINTER WEEKEND Caravan spot 34, 35, 36 are protected from the winter ocean breeze. Very clean bathrooms - bravo to the cleaner. Nice green grass on the campsites, were freshly moved. The share kitchen is well equipped, with all sorts of kitchen aids, plates ect again, very clean and the people who stayed cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely stay here again. Not much for kids to do, except the beach. We stayed with another couple and had a wonderful time. Some silly blighter let fireworks go at midnight which was hugely enjoying, as I had just gotten to sleep.

Stayed in 2 Bed Executive Cabin. Great room facilities, although no broom or dustpan/brush. Great sea view. Wonderful full size bathroom and huge bath. Comfy beds. Big drawback was the location of the cabin. It’s next the public car park. So you are paying extra for an Executive cabin with a bath and are at the mercy of noise from the car park. Drivers can see into your bedroom if the blind is up! If you want a bath & Privacy get cabin 26.

We enjoyed our 4 days at Normanville. The park is superbly located. Our site R7 was un- powered but we could connect water into the van. The site was very spacious, well grassed and had a very pleasant view of the river. Amenities were satisfactory although a few things need repair and there was no hot water at 9pm on our first night. Our biggest problem was with a very large group across from us who played loud music and made a lot of noise until 10:45 on Thurs and 11:30 on Fri, when my husband had to go over and ask them to turn off the music. Given 10pm is clearly stated as the required quiet time, there should either be a check done to ensure people are complying or an after hours number (other than the current emergency/urgent one) that can be used to advise management of problems.

The team went way beyond the call of duty during the booking process and accommodated our needs. The park is well maintained, quiet with that great holiday community atmosphere. Our villa was amazingly clean and modern. Evenings spent on the deck with family where magical! Only a short walk to a wonderful beach! Just a quick note on Normanville, we loved it!

Nicely located caravan park near the beach and jetty. We camped in the southern section. Lovely big sites and beautiful grass. Easy access to beach via gated boardwalk access. Central location ti visit Cape Jervis, Victor Harbor, Second Valley, Rapid Bay, Deep Creek Conservation Park and the beautiful Mclaren Vale which be region as well as enjoying Normanville’s beach. Lots to keep you busy for at least a week or more. Clean amenities block and welcoming staff on arrival.

A really nice park with lovely, friendly staff at one of my favourite beaches in SA. I remember years ago there were beachfront caravan sites but these have been replaced with new cabins which is a shame for van owners. However the remaining sites are still really good, there are large sites and lots of lawn and trees. There is still access to the beach through a gate near the public carpark. A shame the old cafe/kiosk is gone as it was very good and did a roaring trade, but a new SLSC is being built on the site. Hopefully they will run a cafe or kiosk open to the public as that was a real bonus to the beach area around the jetty. We didn't use the games room or camp kitchen but it looked like a very good, large, clean and well stocked space. Amenities were clean. Caretakers were lovely which was chalk and cheese from our last caravan park experience at Pt Vincent!!! All in all a lovely place to stay and highly recommended.
