We stayed in one of the cabins. But these are not just cabins. They are luxurious and comfortable suites located within easy walking distance of the cross country ski trails. Floors have radiant heat, making it extra snuggie in a really cold place. Just in case this is not enough, there is the center fireplace, which also adds to the...

The Hotel was great, we spent a week as a group on half board and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was good and plentiful with a choice every meal. The staff were really friendly and always spoke to you. The ski instructor had amazing patience and understanding for beginners, thank you Timo. We all hope to...

If you are thinking of taking your children to see the real Father Christmas, we cannot recommend Magic of Lapland highly enough. Two grandparents, two parents and one 6 year old boy travelled to YllasHumina for a 3 night stay. We were whisked through Gatwick from a dedicated BA desk and the staff on the plane made everything fun for...

We had no idea who to choose from when booking a family holiday to Lapland , after reading the reviews of magic of Lapland we opt to book through them. This is a well run and family oriented operation. Checking in at gatwick was seamless as they had their own check in desk. We boarded a chartered B.A flight where...

We spent one week at the beginning of December at Yllashumina. The whole structure is very well maintained and lovely decorated. Our room (nr 49) was simply perfect and extremely quite. The people working here is very friendly and helpful. In fact at the arrival day our transport from the airport was very late, but the dinner crew waited for...

It's taken me a while as we stayed there in early 2015, at the end of the skiing season, we booked a beginners break for cross country skiing and were there for a week. We booked a cabin, with a double bed and log burner to ourselves and loved it, roomy, classily decorarted, cosy, quiet in fact perfect once we...

Couple times been there and the superior rooms are very nice. Only thing in superior rooms, I give little bit less points is that, there isn´t own sauna in the room. Breakfast and buffet is one of the best which I´ve been eating. But I don´t like, if I made reservation at the main restaurant, they but a stranger people...

This must be one of the best hotels in northern Europe... No, in the whole of Europe... Well, actually, probably the world! I cannot speak too highly of this hotel or of the staff who work there. Accommodation is first class and the food is... Simply to die for! The staff are wonderful - of an evening you may be...

“The lodges are all very similar although you can choose exclusive lodges but to be honest you are not in it long enough to justify the extra expence.”

“If you have kids they either sleep in two singles downstairs or a double on a mezzanine with steep stairs. Mezzanine double not really suitable for under fives.”

“All the cottages are built identical, but If you are booking two cottages, do remember to ask if you can have ones that are together, as ours were apart from each other and in -32c you need to get dressed well for even the 50m walk across to the other apartment ;)”

“Try for the superior rooms”
 of 5 bubbles evir_11, 5 Jan 2014 | Read review
“Choose whether you want a room (semi-detached cabin room) or an apartment (full semi-detached cabin with sauna) for a bit more space, or 'superior' room (semi detached luxury cabin) for top facilities, wifi etc. See the hotel website for full details. The Yllas transfer bus meets the Finnair flights at the airport. Taxis can be booked through the hotel and are cost effective if you are more than 4 people. We also often catch taxis to distant areas on the ski tracks and then ski home.”
