My wife and I spent 10 nights here, and loved every minute of it, so much so we are returning in March , The Mares side is noisier but fine and the Luna side is much quieter, so were happy where we were in the Luna side. Let me just say the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for...

We had an amazing visit. All the staff and locals were very friendly and I'd recommend this vacation resort to everyone who would love a refreshing holiday. The resort was beautiful and the quaint little villages were just as breath taking.

This was our 8th year at the Sol Rio Luna & Mares and we are so well treated by everyone it feels like going home. This year we found a lot of work taking place to improve the Mares lobby and upgrading the rooms. This didn't really affect us as plenty of space in the Mares bar area and we...

This was our first visit to Cuba and was unsure on what to expect. The hotel is basic but has everything you need, very clean and plenty of seating areas. You can buy cards to access the Wifi but it's very hit and miss. The staff are friendly and helpful, my son really enjoyed the kids club and the activities...

The hotel is friendly but dated and in much need of some tlc. The staff were nice and the rooms were clean. We would like to thank one of the maids Orlarda for keeping our room clean with fresh linen and towels. The view from our room was beautiful.

First visit to Cuba Was a little concerned when I read some reviews but we had room 2010 on the Mares side and it appeared to have been repainted this season and was lovely and clean. The towels changed daily bedding every other day and a litre of water complimentary toiletries we tipped the maid daily .Not the most luxurious...

This being my second time in Cuba, Holguin again as I had stayed at Club Amigo in Nov 2014, the overall experience was much much better. The flight there was great, would definitely fly with Air Transat again, clean and modern plane. We got there the first night, check in was super quick, but they forgot to give us wristbands...lol...

Ignore bad reviews, the staff are very friendly and they thrived on pleasing the guests, very clean, food was really good. Grounds are kept well. The restaurants have the same menu which was disappointing but you could not fault the buffet at all. Only one bad thing I can say is if you are in block 7 on Luna side,...

Arrived back home two days ago, I feel giving this resort a three star is little generous, but it's a bit better than a two star rating as the staff are wonderful people, the beach is gorgeous, and pretty view of the ocean from our room. The buildings and rooms are very dated, feels much older than it's 20 years,...

We went in may and it was hot as he'll in the sun but there was a beautiful breeze there. The food was great it got a little boring by the end but the a la carte French resturant was amazing. Serve was great everyone was really friendly. The only thing negative was the place is a little old the...
