We spent our summer holidays in a deluxe room last summer in August. The room was okey - not that big actually in comparison to other resorts for a deluxe room. The food was excellent in every single restaurants we booked. However, the service was poor in certain restaurants (seasons more specifically) where the staff was not well trained, sometimes with attitudes. The buggies were always unavailable (they would say they will come to pick you up but you could stay waiting for an hour for that). We had a 4months old baby and a 4 years old with us which made us really dependent on the buggies who often did not come. The kids club was amazing for our 4 years old and the staff was incredibly nice and kind but the creche accepted our baby who was a little bit under 4 months ( 3 months and 3 weeks at the time) but the staff would often complain about us leaving the baby there for more than 2hours and inventing new policies that would apply just for us and which didn’t really make sense. It felt like they were not enjoying their job and not happy about taking care of babies even if offering it. Just to mention that we were paying for the creche which is not cheap at all. In general, the experience is not a good value for money as I didn’t think it was top notch compared to what we had paid. The beach is very nice, clear water and minimal waves. The swimming pools were very nice too with the animations really entertaining The management said they want to meet with us before leaving, they never showed up before our departure which makes me classify the customer service below average for me.

Hotel's Favourite
After spending a glorious 2 week family holiday at Ikos Olivia last August the hunt was on to find somewhere that would equally compare. After searching long and hard we concluded that the only way to match our amazing holiday would be to go back to an Ikos resort but at a different location. We choose Aria and this was the best decision we made! Upon arriving late at night we were given a warm welcome at the front entrance with a cool flannel and glass of champagne. On entering the hotel we were instantly faced with the beautiful interior which was so stylish throughout and so aesthetically pleasing, we knew we were somewhere special. We were welcomed by Theodora who sat us down and explained everything we needed to know about the resort including a WhatsApp number for us to message for anything we needed. For our first week we were had a junior suite with a private garden which we loved, it had a sea view which we enjoyed from our own private garden. It was a great space for 2 adults & 2 children with a bathroom and separate shower and WC. The room had all the usual things you would expect from a hotel of this standard such as a hair dryer, iron, nespresso coffee machine, slippers & dressing gowns and a fully stocked fridge. The room was very well located and close to the beach pool which is where we spent a lot of our time during the first week. It was also well located to the main area of the hotel and Fresco’s and Olivia restaurants. I found the bed to be so comfortable and had some of the best sleeps I’ve ever had! The French vegan & natural products (Anne Semonin) supplied in the bathroom were amazing and replenished daily, they can also be bought at the spa shop which I would recommend as the prices are very competitive. I found the resort well laid out and slightly bigger than Olivia but compact enough to get around easily on foot. If you are with younger ones that prefer not to walk around in the heat you could quite easily call for a buggy to take you around. As Olivia the grounds are immaculate and a tremendous amount of care and attention goes into maintaining Aria to look pristine and smell so fresh. The gardens are so well kept and it’s beautiful to see so many olive and fruit trees as well as herbs growing and used throughout the kitchens. There is a strong emphasis on Ikos being a green/efficient friendly resort and this is evident throughout our stay. The beach is extremely clean here and you can go far out in the sea without it being too deep which is great for children. There is a full bar service with comfortable beds as well as Bali style beds too. There is an island closeby (Kastri) which you can swim to (strong swimmers) or visit by pedalo where you can take the steps (one the right hand side) and ring the bell on the church, take in the views or climb to the other side where you can dive in or swim around the pretty bay. The views throughout are breathtaking and you would never bore staring out for hours on this coastline. There are many restaurants on the resort; Flavours (buffet), Olivia (Spanish), Provence (French), Anya (Fusion), Seasons (Mediterranean), Ouzo (Greek), Kos (local), Fresco (Italian). Food is also available at the pool areas, in your room via room service and beach dining. There is also a gelateria next to the beach pool that offers delicious homemade ice-creams and sorbets. All restaurants are of high quality but this year our favourites were Fresco’s (pizza, carbonara and chicken were divine and breakfast too was great!) and Ouzo (bbq lunch) and Provence (the lamb was amazingly flavoursome and tender!). We also used the room service a few times for breakfast or just for drinks before we went for dinner and the speed of service was always super fast. We always found the service in all the restaurants to be quick, attentive and fresh, nothing was too much trouble. The quality of the wines and cocktails were of the highest quality you could imagine, all premium branded drinks very well presented. We dined on the beach on one of our final nights which I thoroughly recommend. The setting was just beautiful and if you time it right you will be there for the sunset. The seats were comfortable and the menu was different from what was available at other restaurants. We had many seafood orientated dishes to start and pasta with lobster and a whole seabass for main course. What makes this resort stand out above the rest are the staff and although this is a luxury resort and you may think that high level service is standard I truly believe that the staff here are what makes this place so special. Every single member of staff smile and say "hello" or "good afternoon" and make you feel welcome and are happy in their job. The training that they receive must be of the highest standard and many people discuss this in their reviews but you will see for yourself whilst here, I for one have never seen service like this anywhere else. The general manager Dimitrios Tsaklas holds the helm at Aria and is an extraordinary and remarkable gentleman. He takes great care and pride in the resort and can be seen morning and night everyday talking to guests ensuring that they are having the most perfect holiday. We saw him everyday and he would always be so kind and welcoming. He was extremely funny and entertaining too. He would be everywhere, in fact we thought that he had a twin brother working at the resort. I even remember once when my sons inflatable ball flew over the beach pool wall I went down to recover it only to find that he happened to be there at the time and had retrieved it for us. Everyone needs a bit of Dimitrios in their life, he is like a rare diamond! Our son has allergies to dairy which we had notified prior to our arrival and the F&B managers Katerina Bouropoulou, Asimina Samanidou and the Service Excellence Manager Eleni Roumkou were totally on hand before and during our stay to ensure that everything ran smoothly. In fact during our stay Katerina & Asimina were always present at every meal time to ensure that everything ran smoothly, they are quite incredible and work extremely hard. They are so dedicated to their jobs and are always happy, attentive and went out of their way to ensure that everything went well, we could not ask for more and in fact they became our friends by the end of our holiday, we were extremely lucky to have them look after us. On our first night at Ouzo restaurant somehow they knew that last year our favourite dish at Ouzo at a different Ikos resort was the deep fried chilli feta which was not on the menu this year however they arranged for it to be made specially for us as a surprise! Another time whist dining at Seasons the children were tired so we left without eating desserts and the manager organised for desserts to be sent back to our room for us to eat in our garden when the children were asleep! They even sent the wine we had been drinking and it arrived in a buggy! The kindness and thoughtfulness is incredible. The Duty Manager Katerina Micheli was always on hand to ensure that our holiday ran smoothly. She would come to find us during the day to ensure that everything was ok. She took time to help us with so many aspects of our holiday and we can’t thanks her enough for all of her efforts and help. She was responsible for making our holiday the best time we have had, thank you so much. Away from the managers there were so many other staff members that were amazing from the chambermaids to the buggy drivers, sports coaches, watersport staff, restaurant & bar staff, pool and beach workers, lifeguards, porters, chefs, spa employees, shop staff, gardeners, maintenance, security, sorry if I have missed anyone out! Some of our favourites were Georgia & Miltos from Ouzo, Vaggelis from Provence, Antonios from Anya, Gabriela from the beach pool, Harris and Paphos from Fresco’s, Dimitrios from the splash pool area and Kostas from the Deluxe pool, Sasha & Sotiris from the Watersports. During the second week of our stay we moved to a junior suite private garden in the Deluxe area. These were like bungalows scattered around the deluxe pool and beach area. The back of our bungalow backed onto the deluxe pool which was idyllic and the front was very close to the sports centre which was perfect as we spent a lot of time playing football and tennis their as a family, our sons also did the football academy which George ran so well with the rest of the team. We also loved hiring bikes which is a great way to get around the resort and beyond. We enjoyed both sides of the resorts and they both had an equally delightful vibe. My wife and I had massages (pure rejuvenation 90 min/ Gold dust face & body 105 mins) which I thoroughly recommend, they were of a real high quality and the spa itself is immaculate and relaxing with lots of little extra rooms such as steam and sauna retreats which I had to myself! There is also a good size indoor pool in the spa area. There is a watersports centre on the beach which offers just about everything you can think of or need and during our 2nd week we took a boat out with a skipper for half a day which is a must and was our favourite day of the holiday. Katerina had organised an amazing array of food and drinks stored in ice boxes. Our skipper Sotiris was the best! He was so proud to show us as much as he could of the beautiful island he now calls home. He took us to a private castaway beach which is only possible to visit on certain days depending on the weather, he explained that he’d only been himself a few times and that the wind carried the sand over and nature made the most beautiful piece of paradise I have been to with the softest cloud like sand and transparent water (see photos). Sotiris got the boat as close to the edge of the beach as possible and carried the lunch boxes from the boat onto the water and found a spot for us to eat on the beach using wood to make a table, it was quite remarkable. We spent quality time there together and did not see one other person. Later he took us diving in the ocean and then to a friends bakery in Kefalos that makes the most amazing giant fresh eclairs which he bought for us all! We also went to Bubble and Paradise beach. He gave us such an insight into the island and explained a lot about the history. Sotiris is one of the most genuine, nicest guys we have ever met, an absolute ledgend! It was amazing to spend the day with him, we will never forget that boat trip! Thanks so much. We also did a Sunset cruise which is included with your stay. A very short transfer by bus from the hotel to Kefalos and you board the boat with Yannis & his wife who are incredibly fun hosts and take you for a trip around the bay whilst feeding you some local cheeses and wine/Prosecco. Whoooopa! We took the Tesla out which was great fun and easy to use and visited nearby Kos town which is well worth the trip. Plenty of shops and ruins to visit as well as restaurants. We also took a trip to Zia which is a beautiful old town high up perfect for watching the sunset. We booked a table at Oromedon which is definitely worth checking out. There are different shows on most evenings in the outdoor theatre from Disney shows to singers & dancers from the Pop and Motown era’s, they were all really entertaining, in a great setting with a full bar service. We loved the lobby bar at night and the live band and also the band playing at the pool next to Seasons restaurant. All the entertainment was great. Our eldest son did a session at the kids club and he loved it. This is another service which is included and bookable in advance but don’t worry if full they will always do their best to accommodate. Whilst we were there the sessions were run by the fabulous Sharky & George who are a well known luxury children’s party planning company from London. Our children made friends with others very easily and they became friends throughout our stay which was lovely for them. We were really sad to leave. Our flight home wasn’t until the evening and they were kind enough to accommodate us to stay in our room longer and use the facilities until we left. When we left the GM Dimitrios and DM Katerina were waiting for us to say goodbye and ensure all our bags were on our transfer to the airport. They even gave us bottles of cold water for the journey. Quite incredible really and like nothing I have experienced! We will be back! I would recommend this resort to everyone, like us you will have the best time of your lives!

An amazing resort. Had the best holiday with 3 friends. Food excellent, drink selection, just incredible. Stayed in deluxe and loved it. Weather did not disappoint either, sunshine every day. It was my second visit to Aria and I cannot wait for my third! Have to give a special mention to Karina who goes above and beyond although all of the staff are simply fabulous

This was a return visit to Ikos Aria and remains one of our favourites. We think the deluxe collection here has the best offering of all the resorts . We prefer a la carte breakfast a this seems to have been reduced in some of the restaurants so we enjoyed seasons more although late in the holiday we found out you could still order a la carte options at Ouzo. Dinner on the beach was lovely and the weather was great throughout the stay. We prefer the beach to the right hand side and felt that the addition of the new new area to make drinks helped staff and the service. Spa and massages were very good. We were disappointed with the sunset cruise and would not do it again. We would hope to return to the hotel at some stage.

This was my 3rd Ikos stay - first at Aria. I enjoyed my stay at Ikos Aria bar a few niggles that puts me off the price tag: 1. Our room was junior suite with private garden - loved the room as we booked what we wanted - but our room was located right by the staff entrance and smoking area, I found this irritating due to noise and smell pollution, especially as we were travelling with an infant - she was waking due to the noise 2. The service. at the bar adjacent to the lobby was closed randomly on some nights and open some nights - so service was slow - this tracked for us also at lunches and dinners too - the hotel was busy and there weren't enough staff 3. Poor vegetarian options at buffet - so you have to go a la carte if you can get a table at the time you prefer - Ouzo was a disappointment at lunch - my husband was only able to eat chips at a meal there Despite all of this - Ikos brand is good and they take very good care of the guests and its very family friendly - if you are going with kids don't think twice about it. Especially from the UK the short flight time to such a good resort is really amazing.

Very beautiful and clean, a very pleasant place to relax alone or as a couple, I would not recommend it for a large group. The hotel itself is romantic and has a large territory, the staff is polite))

We visited Ikos Aria as a group of 40 and had an incredible week. The resort is everything expected. Can’t fault the service, facilities, food, drinks and people, not just the hotel staff but also George the tennis coach. We played tennis as friends and also had a number of lessons with George. George is absolutely fantastic tennis coach and even better player! After the food and drink consumed it was good to be put through your paces. I asked George to focus on refining forehand and he very quickly noticed that I wasn’t opening early enough. George took the time and a lot of patience and detailed explanations of how to change game. It was a great week with George’s focus has changed the way we play but also, challenged technique. Cardio tennis - a group of us tried this session. It was a fantastic work out. You don’t have to be a tennis player to do it. I had never done it before so was a great introduction and you really felt like you deserved all the food and wine after! It’s super the hotel offers this exercise class and it isn’t all just in the gym. There were also a number of children’s lessons which George took. Both my 7&5 year old attended with their friends. They absolutely loved it and George was great at speaking with the children and creating fun games for them.

I wanted to give 4.5/5. Four is too low. Five too high (see reasons). We returned to IKOS Aria for the second year running this past July. Last year, we were blown away, hence returning. A few things were not as good this year with respect to service, and some food quality. As you'll gather from most reviews the IKOS brand target excellence, and generally do deliver in this regard. All staff are polite, engaging and pro active. Likely due to the price tag, you avoid "lager lout" "brits on tour" type families. Everyone we've met here has been lovely. Less it's mentioned here, assume what ever you want is excellent. Food - book restaurants online before your arrival and there is plenty of space. We booked the first week (of two) in advance, so we could decide where to dine the second week once we'd tested the menus. The only let down here was that the steak last year was fillet steak (perfect) but this year was a lower quality cut. As a steak lover, this was disappointing to return to. Generally still cooked very well, though some guests had quite fatty/grissly cuts. The Asian restaurant Aniya is really hit and miss. Some fantastic dishes, some less enjoyable. Over the two holidays we've had, the service here has always been a let down compared with all others on site. Drinks - excellent range on offer - no hidden charges. The frustration for us was when on the roof terrace, staff service was fairly poor with a very slow service and incorrect orders arriving. We didn't experience this last year, so assume a change in staff lead to this. Hopefully improved as the season progressed. Our room was in the main hotel. It was ample for our needs. Clean and well maintained. Well stocked minibar that was included and replenished daily. The pools are excellent. If you are travelling with kids, the combination of pools, splash pad for <6s (no limit just under 6s used it most) and kids club kept them well entertained. Only drawback on the pools was that the sunbeds (delux pool) were on their last legs and had clearly met their UV exposure limit, and the towel quality had dropped. I hope these are all renewed for next year. Overall it was fantastic. We returned and met at least 5-10 families we met last year (all by chance) which was lovely. If you haven't been - you should love it. If you have been before, you know what to expect.

My husband and I stayed in early May to celebrate our wedding anniversary having been super impressed by Ikos Oceania the previous year. There was no warm welcome and check-in was extremely slow which was a disappointing start after a tiring journey and especially since it was our wedding anniversary that day. There was no acknowledgement of our anniversary whatsoever which again was disappointing as it was mentioned before we arrived but they didn’t follow through with their promises. Ikos Oceania made such a lovely fuss the previous year. By way of an apology and as a result of my husband expressing our disappointment they gifted me with a beach bag usually reserved for Deluxe guests only which was a welcomed gesture. The staff were as helpful as they could be, therefore giving them the benefit of the doubt my assumptions are that the hotel’s shortfalls were due to being understaffed at the start of the season. Service was slower than expected and attentiveness was lacking compared to our previous stay at Oceania. Overall we still had a lovely stay. Ikos hotels are so impressive when it comes down to a luxurious holiday. The views are stunning, decor is beautiful and the Michelin standard food delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the activities such as wine tasting and cardio tennis. Booking a Tesla to explore the island is a must and don’t forget something white for the White Party on the beach. The Ikos Way is definitely the best way in my opinion and we can’t wait to book another stay at Ikos next year.

This was our 10th ikos holiday & 4th visit to Aria. All I can say is another fantastic holiday was had by all. The staff truly make this hotel & they work tirelessly to make sure you have the best time. The weather was also amazing too at around 28 degrees. We stayed in the deluxe area again this year but have stayed in both. For us Aria has the best deluxe pool area & this year the service was second to none run by Anastasia. She absolutely excels in her role as deluxe pool bar manager & is an asset to the company. Her team work so hard & are so friendly. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces from the housekeeping staff, gardeners & restaurant staff. The food & drink were as good as ever & we cannot wait to return.
