Excellent place for a quiet, peaceful and affordable getaway. We loved our stay here and our expectations were exceeded by the hosts hospitable and caring nature. Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be back again.
We had a mid week getaway at Redbrow while visiting the local wineries. It is in a relatively isolated location, which means it is very peaceful (as long as you're not worried about phone reception, which is a little patchy, as is the wifi). The room was good, and we used the kitchenette for breakfast. They had bikes for hire, and a fire pit, but as we weren't there for long we didn't use either. We did go for a walk around the property in the morning, disturbing many local birds, rabbits, kangaroos and wallabies. It's also right next door to the chocolate shop!
We booked Redbrow for a weekend family reunion for 14 folk aged between 60 and 80. Maxx, the host was most helpful in every respect, including setting the fire in the fire pit and offering to set the internal fire. The place is wonderful, a quirky comfortable rambling set of buildings, including 4 ensuite double bedrooms in a motel type arrangement, each with additional beds in a separate annex. I understand that these are the rooms normally let out. Because of the size of our group we were given access to four other bedrooms in the main body of the resort. We had full use of a kitchen and kitchenette, plus a large family room where we could gather socialise before dining. We also used an outside covered BBQ area for dining overlooking the lake. The setting is lovely, with a lake, island, bird life etc etc.…
My husband's large family booked out the venue for a reunion weekend in April. The accommodation is by a large dam and the units we were in have large picture windows looking towards the dam from a separate sitting area, and then a bedroom screened off by curtains. A reverse cycle air conditioner kept us warm in the chilly evenings. We had full use of the kitchens and our hosts just let us get on with it, but my husband's brother, the organiser, said they had been incredibly flexible and helpful during the year it took to plan the event. We also had use of a large games room and lounge with central fire. While we could eat inside in the guest kitchen/ dining, we chose to use the outdoor tables with BBQ area. This was lovely but a bit chilly! I should have brought a coat and beanie, but also should have expected this in mid April. Only downside was the WiFi provided was very touchy and unstable, but I found a phone signal by the dam - this saved the day given i needed to link to our kids due to other issues going on at the time.…
Recently held our wedding at Redbrow and it was wonderful. The gardens are gorgeous. The staff were amazing - very accommodating and super helpful while also maintaining our privacy. Couldn’t be happier with their service.
