Excellent place for a quiet, peaceful and affordable getaway. We loved our stay here and our expectations were exceeded by the hosts hospitable and caring nature. Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be back again.
We had a mid week getaway at Redbrow while visiting the local wineries. It is in a relatively isolated location, which means it is very peaceful (as long as you're not worried about phone reception, which is a little patchy, as is the wifi). The room was good, and we used the kitchenette for breakfast. They had bikes for hire, and a fire pit, but as we weren't there for long we didn't use either. We did go for a walk around the property in the morning, disturbing many local birds, rabbits, kangaroos and wallabies. It's also right next door to the chocolate shop!
We booked Redbrow for a weekend family reunion for 14 folk aged between 60 and 80. Maxx, the host was most helpful in every respect, including setting the fire in the fire pit and offering to set the internal fire. The place is wonderful, a quirky comfortable rambling set of buildings, including 4 ensuite double bedrooms in a motel type arrangement, each with additional beds in a separate annex. I understand that these are the rooms normally let out. Because of the size of our group we were given access to four other bedrooms in the main body of the resort. We had full use of a kitchen and kitchenette, plus a large family room where we could gather socialise before dining. We also used an outside covered BBQ area for dining overlooking the lake. The setting is lovely, with a lake, island, bird life etc etc.…
My husband's large family booked out the venue for a reunion weekend in April. The accommodation is by a large dam and the units we were in have large picture windows looking towards the dam from a separate sitting area, and then a bedroom screened off by curtains. A reverse cycle air conditioner kept us warm in the chilly evenings. We had full use of the kitchens and our hosts just let us get on with it, but my husband's brother, the organiser, said they had been incredibly flexible and helpful during the year it took to plan the event. We also had use of a large games room and lounge with central fire. While we could eat inside in the guest kitchen/ dining, we chose to use the outdoor tables with BBQ area. This was lovely but a bit chilly! I should have brought a coat and beanie, but also should have expected this in mid April. Only downside was the WiFi provided was very touchy and unstable, but I found a phone signal by the dam - this saved the day given i needed to link to our kids due to other issues going on at the time.…
Recently held our wedding at Redbrow and it was wonderful. The gardens are gorgeous. The staff were amazing - very accommodating and super helpful while also maintaining our privacy. Couldn’t be happier with their service.
we had a part of 12 for a weekend away. max was completely accommodating, very friendly and assisted with all aspects of booking and organisation. redbrow itself is a beautiful venue, the lake, cherry blossom trees and overall atmosphere are amazing. the guest lounge area is really good for some late night activities as well
What an incredible location! The grounds were very well kept, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The landscape was very unique, and the amenities provided (ie. Games room) were in great condition. Service was excellent, and we'll be sure to return!
We went in a group of 5 from Sydney, while visiting Canberra. Hosts were friendly and accommodative, did not mind us checking in late around 8.30pm. They also assisted when we wanted to build a campfire for marshmallows. There was little light pollution and we had clear skies which gave us a pretty view of the stars. Very pleasant to hang out in the garden by the pond. They also had a games room which we didn’t use. Rooms were simple but sufficiently clean and had electric blankets, and a heater to keep warm. The toilets outside were clean as well which made it convenient when more people needed to use the room toilet. In the morning, we had fresh eggs and we appreciated the ability to make breakfast in the kitchen equipped with basic breakfast food like oats, toast, cereal, juice & milk. Simple but sufficient. They also have a pretty garden of flowers, alpacas and chickens on the farm. Phone connection isn’t very good here, but it is also a good opportunity to disconnect for a bit. We enjoyed our stay.…
If you are planning a weekend away with a group of people and want your own private farm complete with a river, chickens, llamas, and an orchid, Redbrow Garden Guest house is the place for you! Redbrow was the perfect location for my sisters Hens Party weekend. My guests were blown away by the serene location and didn’t ever want to leave. Luckily they didn’t have to, as the owners allowed us to hang around after checkout and enjoy the sunshine by the river. My guests who were visiting from all over Australia, were thrilled to unplug from technology and have a break from city life with such a charming country getaway. They were able to be woken by the crow of roosters and roll out of bed to enjoy a champagne breakfast looking over the Yass River which flows through the property. I cannot speak highly enough about how accomodating a friendly the owners were. No request was too much and they were eager to go above and beyond to ensure that we had the perfect stay. Maxx allowed us to come a day early to set up decorations, and have both an early checkin for some guests and a late checkin for others to accomodate our plans for a winery tour. He even allowed us to transport half the contents of the kitchen to the riverside deck so we could cook and serve our champagne breakfast. He didn’t even reprimand us when some of the items were put away in the wrong kitchen. All in all, we had the perfect weekend away, which we will remember fondly for years to come! Thank you to all the staff of Redbrow Garden Guesthouse for making our weekend one to remember!…
We are three couples visiting Canberra. We accidentally found this beautiful garden on TripAdvisor. It was definitely worth the visit! Lovely rural garden setting only 20mins from Canberra city. We also loved to visit the local vineyards nearby! Highly recommend for people who love farm stay and animals!
