Was very pleased staying here, beautiful hotel and very attentive hosts who would do anything to please. Gorgeous rooms and was made to feel very welcome, lots of local knowledge and helped get taxis etc booked for the wedding we were going to. Would highly recommend, impressive hotel and very reasonable price.

My wife and I aren't exactly B&B 'experts' but we have stayed at a couple of dozen of them over the years, and the Langbury is top-notch. Beautiful property, great location, and absolutely outstanding proprietors. Couldn't be more impressed. Will definitely recommend to our friends, and will come back as soon as we have the chance.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Langbury is the large Edwardian home of Nigel and Paula Smythe. Originally built as a gentleman's residence, it stands in its own grounds set in an elevated position in the small coastal village of Blue Anchor. Here you will find a friendly welcoming atmosphere combined with individual attention and an excellent Aga cooked, locally sourced, breakfast. Accommodation is provided in five individually furnished rooms which all enjoy magnificent views of the sea and the hills of glorious Exmoor and the Quantocks which are a feast for the eyes at any time of year. The Langbury is 100 metres from the beach and Blue Anchor Station where you can board a steam train on the West Somerset Railway - the longest preserved railway in the country. We are approximately half a mile outside of the Exmoor National Park and three miles from the medieval village of Dunster with its fairy-tale National Trust Castle. The traditional seaside resort of Minehead is five miles to the west and the ancient harbour town of Watchet three miles to the East. ... more   less
