Ranger Andrew and his team members Evan and Musi are passionate about putting animals first and educating guests about every little detail of the bush and the importance of conservation for all of us. Our safari was outstanding, the service and food excellent. It stood out compared to other safaris we did. Read the Elephant Whisperer! Thank you Francoise, Andrew...

Good accommodation, excellent food and service, and the ranger was first class. One annoying element however: We knew that drinks were not included. However, apart from the small, bottles upon arrival, all water had to be paid (and the tap water was not drinkable). Even the bottles offered during the drives had to be paid. Small money, but was not congruent...

Four glorious days at Thula Thula. Despite pouring rain our ranger Andrew went out of his way to ensure that our stay was memorable. Housekeeping and kitchen staff were always friendly and accommodated all our requests. Staying in the beautifully appointed tented camp was an unforgettable experience too.

Where to begin? We've had a life long dream to visit Africa~ and reading the Lawrence Anthony book "The Elephant Whisperer" inspired the visit. I'm a professional artist, so the trip was planned to hopefully see Elephants up close~ but in my wildest dreams I never imagined the opportunities to actually meet and commune with this special herd. Breathtaking, and...

Firstly I have to say I am surprised by the two bad reviews posted. I visited Thula Thula on my own, originally for two night only, I stayed an additional TWO nights as I had such an amazing time! Shandu & Khaya took me and my fellow lodgers at the time on all our morning and evening drives, they were...

I really don't know where to start, from the minute we arrived to the moment we left the 4 days we spent at Thula Thula were truly amazing. The lodge we stayed in was brilliant with friendly geckos wishing you good morning, room was spotlessly clean and well stocked in the bathroom. The bar and eating area was wonderful as...

My Husband and I decided to treat ourselves to this game lodge over the December holidays. We are South African born and well travelled. We currently live in Australia. After booking online from Australia we were so excited to stay in a "Luxury" tent. We arrived in 40 degree heat to an absolutely filthy tent with no working fan. The...

We were so excited to visit, but for more than three times the price of other lodges we were so disappointed. Our room was dirty and broken. Mould you tea bags, dust you can draw in, towel under the sewage pipe from the toilet, you name it. It was really disgusting. Further to this the staff were hardly ever available...

Lovely relaxing weekend. Particularly enjoyed the bush walks. Unfortunately i contracted Tick Bite Fever a week later. Please advise guests there are infected ticks in the area and try to take precautions.

So sorry about your tick bite. All guests should normally be informed about these tiny little creatures who can give you such terrible headaches. Above all when you do bush walks. I also had it when I arrived 18 years ago and I feel for you ... i shall remind our rangers to inform all our guests as this can...

I went to Thula Thula with high expectations and they were exceeded in every aspect. Our encounters with the elephants were magical beyond belief thanks to our ranger, Shandu, and tracker, Khaya. And it is not just about the elephants, so many other animals to enjoy as well, especially the rhinos, Thabo and Ntombi. The accommodation was so luxurious and...
