This was a guest house of two halves for my party of cyclists. After a particularly lovely ride through vineyards and a pleasant ferry crossing we arrived at “Zur Wachau” where there was a swimming pool to ease our fatigued bodies. This was clean & of a good size for a small hotel. The rooms were freshly decorated in a...

This is a very pleasant stop when cycling the Danube. The big advantage is having an indoor pool *and sauna) then a large rear garden with plenty of sun loungers, a playground and table tennis table, and a terraced dining area. A great way to unwind after a day's riding. Our room was old but very spacious and quiet. Looking...

We spent a night at this Gasthof while on a bike tour along the Danube. The rooms were very clean and spacious and looked over the back courtyard and some cherry and apricot trees in the orchard behind the hotel. Dinner and breakfast were both very good, as was the service. An added feature was the indoor pool over the...

We arrived after a nice 52 km ride from melk. The hotel is a little way away from town centre, uphill. This is the only downfall, so to speak. Otherwise, nice reception with a huge basket of apples on arrival. Staff are dressed in traditional Austrian costume. Rooms are clean and offer some extras. Breakfast was very generous, we ate...

We were booked on here as part of a Danube. Really good quality room recently renovated to a very high standard - especially the bathroom. Breakfast was pretty good and the service efficient and friendly. It is on the opposite side if the river from Spitz - a short ferry ride. Nice location among the fruit and vines.

We started our cycling from Melk to Kremps in the noon, by the time we reached Wachau valley it was dark and the weather really got cold. It was an unplanned night at the guesthouse, but we were comforted with such lovely food in the Cosy hotel after a tiring day of cycling and a lavish breakfast in the tranquil...

Totally awesome hotel. Had no idea from the outside that it really was to such a good standard. The rooms really so look like the photos, and after a long day of cycling and arriving in the evening, it was a pleasant surprise to fins the rooms warm , well equipped and clean.
