Place is one of those special places that you hope to discover while traveling. Stumbled upon Black Rock while visiting San Ignacio. Physical beauty was accentuated of location by a staff that could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. They truly understand what the service industry is about. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Belize.

I lived and traveled much throughout Belize, but unexplainably I only discovered Black Rock Lodge two years ago on a return visit on vacation. My family and I are now returning from our second wonderful stay with them and we are already looking forward to the 3rd one! The setting in the jungle is awesome, the staff is exceptionally trained....

We stayed at Black Rock Lodge for 3 nights as part of a 14 day tour of Guatemala and Belize booked through Imagine Latin America. We had no idea what to expect except it was 'remote'. Wow, what a beautiful location, clinging to a hillside, overlooking the Macal River, surrounded by the rain forest and the lodges own gardens where...

The Black Rock Lodge was the third stop of our 11 day holiday in Belize, it is located about 30 minutes or so outside of San Ignacio town. BRL was another top TripAdvisor recommended accommodation that did not disappoint. Just a disclaimer, if your idea of a perfect vacation is bar hopping or partying til the wee hours of the...

The lodge has great accommodations. The staff is very helpful. A few main things to notice: dinner is served farmer style with lots of people sitting around several large tables. So, you get to meet a lot of people but this is your only choice for dinner if you want to eat at the lodge. Also, the food is very...

We were travelling to Belize on our honeymoon staying at 3 different places, Miami Beach, Black Rock Lodge, Lamani Outpost and ending at Victoria House in San Pedro for the chilling part of our trip. Amazing place! We were picked up from the airport by Diago (who became part of the family by the end of our trip). We were...

My husband and I can't emphasize enough how fantastic Black Rock is. We wanted to add to and confirm the wonderful reviews so far. We stayed for 5 nights and it felt too short. There are so many fantastic trips you can do from the lodge and even just staying on the lodge grounds and doing local activities is wonderful....

We stayed at Black Rock for 3 nights as part of our trip through Guatemale and Belize and we did not regret it, it was one of our 16 day trip highlights. The family dining, the food, the river and its associated activities, the staff, the scenery, the wildlife and the location/setting were all incredible. If you are considering going...

The reviews below capture so much of what we experienced that it is hard to add anything but exclamation points to all the postive comments. If you love the concept of being in the rain forest and want to be treated like family in a true Eco Resort, this is the place. After 4 nights, it was very hard to...
