This lodge is just beautiful. It is very peaceful sitting at breakfast and watching the birds feed off of the fruit plate they put out. Here are some tips: 1. You can eat on the lower level by the bird feeders to watch the birds, just ask. 2. The evening menu is a set menu. One evening, we really didn't...

My family stayed at Black Rock for 4 nights and loved it. We will definitely come back. The location is amazing -- right on a river, with amazing limestone cliffs staring at you, and forest as far as the eye can see. Accommodations were very comfortable -- the cabins have nice beds and bathrooms and hammocks overlooking the beautiful scenery....

This place was the highlight of our trip to Belize! The location is stunning, lodges are gorgeous but the real stars are the staff. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great time - really engaging with our 2 kids and getting them so enthused about the wildlife. I would return in a heart beat. I...

Our first time to Belize and Black Rock was a highlight of the trip. This place is borderline magical and the staff is incredible. Not only was this our favorite place to stay in Belize, it may be our favorite place to stay ever.

We stayed 4 nights at BRL in March with our 2 boys ages 17 and 14 and daughter, 11 years old. Everyone was so accommodating and made our stay perfect. We did a lot of hiking and took advantage of the area around the Lodge. Vladimir was a super guide and so well informed- we all learned so many interesting...

Not that we're the most worldly of travelers, but we've gotten around a bit. Black Rock is the only lodge we've ever gone back to. We know we'll go back even more times. It's that special. Driving up to Black Rock for our second visit felt to me like coming home. From the moment I turned off the highway I...

Black Rock Lodge is a must visit place if you're traveling to Belize! Our van broke down on our way in to the lodge (cracked radiator) and we had to stop multiple times on the road. When we got there, the caretakers Pieter and Petra said they would have their maintenance crew check it out for us and they did....

We just returned from 4 incredible days at Black Rock! This was our first visit to Black Rock. The staff at Black Rock Lodge made us feel so welcome and well cared for. We went canoeing in Barton Creek Cave(1 mile into a cave, really quiet and calm), and tubing down the Macal river(fun small rapids-my 6 year old did...

We loved everything about Black Rock. I would recommend it to anyone, the rooms were spacious and clean. The food at the restaurant was perfect, I am a vegetarian and they made delicious meals with that in mind. The staff was awesome. We hiked, went cave tubing. River tubing and kayaking on the macaw river. Victor wAs my guide on...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Black Creek Lodge. The location is remote as evidenced by the bumpy access road which kind of looks like a scene from Jurassic Park. The landscaping of the grounds was beautiful, the buildings set into the natural scenery without standing out. Loved the yoga palapa overlooking the Macal River...
