I really can't add much to the recent reviews of Black Rock, my wife and I enjoyed the Lodge very much. The cabin was very comfortable, the facilities were very nice and the natural beauty of the place is stunning. The entire staff takes an interest in making sure you are comfortable and having a good time. There's no doubt... More

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I cant say enough about the wonderful welcome that we received from BRL. Giovanni, Petra, Ignacio, Rocky, and the list of names goes on and on. The rooms were all first class and in clean immaculate condition and all with enough room not to be disturbed by your neighbor. The views from all aspects of the resort not a lodge,... More

Black Rock Lodge was absolutely stunning! Everything about this place was amazing. The views were breathtaking, food delicious and staff beyond remarkable. We have many many happy memories here and cannot wait to come back. There is a lot of activities available on site and nearby and the staff is extremely accommodating to your desired activity! The room we stayed... More

My family (myself, my parents and my teenage daughter) stayed here for three nights in November 2016 and could happily have stayed longer. The physical location is beautiful, the birding is wonderful, and the rooms are comfortable (although they could use more hooks and curtains that actually close!), but it is the staff that makes this place really special. We... More

My husband and I stayed at Black Rock for 6 days. The lodge is nestled next to the Macal River. We were fortunately located in a bungalow that's main noise was the flowing river: very peaceful. Our bungalow was simple and clean. The staff were extremely pleasant, especially Diego. The excursions were fabulous! We did the nature hike, ATM, Tikal,... More

As per title, the scenery here is stunning. That's what you're paying for, and that why it takes a while to get there from the airport (although you could fly if you wanted to save time). My general rule is if it's hard to get to, it's probably worth it, and this is. Jurassic Park style scenery, set next to... More

While the food was excellent, the rooms extremely comfortable and the views exquisite - the incredibly knowledgeable guides and friendly staff made this a place we cannot wait to return to with our kids. We toured Xunantunich with Isaias who has a great knack for tailoring the information that he presented us not in a scripted form but the more... More

We came to this lodge in 2000 and it was the nicest place we stayed then, and was this time too. The views are amazing and the rooms are gorgeous. The rooms had a beautiful presentation of flowers in the rooms. The meals were fantastic and the river was fun. We only stayed for a night but wished we had... More

The location, staff and accommodations at Black Rock are simply unbeatable. The drive to the property is worth every minute and every bump when you arrive at this oasis on the side of a mountain. It's hard to imagine being surrounded by a more beautiful picture with the limestone mountains, the jungle and the river outside our front door. We... More

This is the first review I have ever done on Trip Advisor --- the experience at Black Rock Lodge simply demanded that I write up a review... If I could give more than 5 stars to this place, I would. Black Rock Lodge is a mecca for your senses. The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful. Remote from the city, it's... More
