In January 2017, I spent a fabulous week with a friend at Black Rock Lodge. This was my second stay, and the Lodge has only gotten better since my first visit in 2010. Black Rock offers the best of everything: natural beauty, luxurious accommodations, jungle adventures and an amazing staff. For those who want to relax, there are gorgeous views,...

I cant say enough about the wonderful welcome that we received from BRL. Giovanni, Petra, Ignacio, Rocky, and the list of names goes on and on. The rooms were all first class and in clean immaculate condition and all with enough room not to be disturbed by your neighbor. The views from all aspects of the resort not a lodge,...

This place is fantastic! My family (wife, son age 10, and I) stayed at Black Rock Lodge for 4 nights in December. The staff were amazing - especially Giovanni and Rogelio, who did so much to make sure my son was having a great time. The activities (tubing, canoeing) on site were great fun due to the guides (Diego, etc)...

The staff is incredibly nice, knowledgeable, helpful, sincere, all the best. They are encouraged to talk with guests which is nice; we got to learn about them, which I appreciated. The cabin spotless, a patio with a hammock and a clothesline to hang your clothes. They have it down. Even loaner booties for tubing on the river. Dining erxperience is...

My wife and I stayed for 10 days at Black Rock Lodge in early February. It was our 2nd visit to Black Rock, our first was in Feb 2015. The Lodge is located about 12 miles west of San Ignacio. This drive take about 45 minutes as most of it is unpaved through farms and ranches, and along the edge...

The staff at the lodge are among the friendliest we've encountered anywhere. We were always greeted by name, and they always had time to talk with us. It seemed that a naturalist was always on hand (whether official or not, they knew the birds, plants, and animals) ready to answer questions. Kudos to the owner, who offers continuing education and...

The Lodge is fantastic. I really cannot fault it. We had a river suite, which is slightly more expensive than some of the other rooms but worth every penny extra. Views of the river, the massive black rocks and the rainforest in general were stunning. Each evening we swam in the river before going to dinner - perfect peace and...

Blackrock was great. Beautiful wildeside hike, and ATM tour. Petra, a general manger helped organize an ATM tour for me and my boyfriend with travel to Belize city after so we could take the boat to Caye Caulker. She was very nice and helpful. This tour was helpful because we were tight on time. The cabins on the river are...

The Black Rock Lodge is a really nice, very quiet mountain get-a-way situated in the middle of two mountain ranges. It has a beautiful river that runs in front of it that you can tube down and it sits up against a rain Forrest with lots of wildlife to look at and Howler Monkey's to listen to about 4:30 every...

My husband and I had an excellent time at the Black Rock Lodge. You are truly in the jungle when you get there. The staff went out of their way to accommodate anything we needed. They were all extremely knowledgeable of not only the grounds but nature, wildlife, and really anything you had questions about. Our cabin was very clean...
