Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have passed by this place many times and thought it looked new and would be good spot to stop before heading through Sydney with our caravan in tow. We arrived and were greeted very friendly and taken to our site however when asked where amenities were he was unsure of what was where. When we found them they were very old and run down. Camp kitchen was large and plenty of room as place was busy and noisy. It was ok for one night but will find somewhere different next time.

Booked park for overnight stay whilst traveling. Amenities are clean but only three showers each for male and females. Water is bore water. None of that was a drama but woke up to no water in park so no one could have showers and no water for toilet. Was told by staff member that people turn off the pumps on them regularly-if that's so why not lock them up?? Another thing was that for a park on the highway they don't open shop in park till 9am..we just needed milk and again we will live but it seemed strange when you have over nighter needing to get going in morning and can't top up ice or anything. At $35.00 per night - bore water, no shower, no loo, no shop open early, basic amenities...nah ...we can do better.

We arrived here in absolutely torrential rain after driving for 8.5hrs towing our big van. The owner was amazing. She was so helpful and efficient in getting us booked in quickly. What a great place to stop. We will definately stop here again next time we travel in this area.

Literally just off the highway, we stayed in a clearly new cabin with our two golden retrievers.
It was affordable, very clean and a lovely stay.
The gentleman at reception was friendly and made us feel welcomed.
Super easy check out and was all paid via bookings.com before we arrived.

Not a complaint, more a consideration, we could have done with a second pillow each. They had plenty of storage and I see there would be no issue to pop two pillows in one of the cupboards for guests to use if they like.
Other than that, absolutely no complaints, would definitely stay again.

We stayed one night. The place is pet friendly, I wasn't aware of that, while the room smelt of dog, it did seem clean. The toilet didn't flush and the mattress was really old. That I could handle.
But dogs do stay there. I like dogs, but they must not have cleaned the room properly. We got fleas from staying there. FLEAS!!! They came home with us and we had to fumeigate everything. Never again.

Called for a request. Never have been spoken to so poorly as a customer. Extremely rude, cut me off while speaking and talked down to. Cancelled our stay immediately as I can only imagine how they would treat you face to face!

Don’t book here, after reading the rest of the reviews I think we saved ourselves from a truly disgusting experience.

These people shouldn’t be in hospitality.

The owner clearly doesn't pay his bills. Maybe if they paid their bills on time they might get better reviews. The place is run down. I found the owner and staff quite rude and arrogant. Wont be coming here. Will not be recommending any of my colleagues to do business with this place, nor holiday for that matter.

We had everything we needed in the cabin that was clean. The booking in via phone was easy and lady helpful. Sorry I don’t know her name. It was around the middle of the day 19/12/2023. Thank you for an excellent stay.

We booked a room (we used booking.com ) and we paid 150$.
In the morning we arrived there at 10.00 ( the check in time started at 9.00am) the lady at the reception told us that our room wasn't ready. We had a quick look around and we run away.
The pictures on the different websites don't show the real conditions of the cabins and the location.
The caravan park is in the middle of nowhere, there's not grass, lake,lakeside..there is only mud.
My suggestion is to stay away from this location.

We booked via internet from another website for this place to stay three nights.
The lady at the reception was weird from beginning, when we arrived there, the lady first said there were no money yet payed, then she said it was a booking for a large room with two beds, instead of what we reserved from the website, she said if you want refund you need to try contact the website, the money go to them first and she said she might also try to contact them to, she showed us the room it was terrible, she said she had a nicer and newer one that was enough for a couple. None of the rooms were looking alike the ones showing on websites. We got the room at the end then, but we just put our stuff in and went out straight after. Then after few hours she called back and she said if we wanted another room or if we wanted to stay in that one, we said we were fine with that, so she said she would have refund us as soon as we got back. We went back in the night since the place was very far (1h) to port stephens area and we wanted to enjoy the time by the beaches since there were just few days of sun and then it would have been raining. As soon as we got back to the room we started to notice how bad it was. The rooms were not cleaned well as it should have been, some things probably have never had a proper wash/clean, old interiors, bed terribly uncomfy we slept both in the middle of the bed because the bed was so old and so soft that it kept pushes us in the middle of it, bathroom not cleaned well too, same as kitchen and the fridge and the kettle was extremely full of mould, floor was sticky. During the night there was a man yelling very close to were we were sleeping, then noises around especially from the other two rooms connected to ours.
The morning after water did not work so we could not wash up our face, teeth and do any shower. We had to stay for that one night and then early morning we went to get money back from the first reservation we did. Then we
complain to the lady and we said we would not stay anymore for all those reason I have listed, she was surprised and probably angry a bit. We did not get the rest of the two night money back unfortunately (as you can imagine) but we were relieved to go away from that place.
If you go, you probably better go with your own caravan, then maybe, it can be possible to stay. Still very far from everything else I warn you.... nothing around it just highway.
Awful.
