Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The high tea was our holiday farewell treat and it was terrific! Best high tea we have had, great selection, very very tasty and wonderful staff. Special mention to Wendy and our great conversation, thank-you! Hotel itself was very comfortable and well appointed with a short walk to the surf beach.

Hotel's Favourite
We had a family event ,6 adults 7 children (4yrs to 12yrs) over 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Great resort and staff with brilliant activities around the pool and lagoon. Canoes,Catamarans,Sup's on the lagoon and beach based activities like touch and tug of war. The kids were entertained all day ,so they never asked to leave the resort. As you can expect then , the parents thru to grandparents took it easy and just relaxed. We stayed in 2 bedroom suites which allowed cousins to bed swap during the stay. We have done this type of catchup before on the Gold Coast, Fiji and Vanuatu but this has been our best yet.

The Bush to Coast High Tea was such an extraordinary experience! From the table decor to the selection of local food and tea to the very attentive staff, this was by far the best high tea experience! Come with an appetite because its very filling!

With the exception of the fancy reception building, the whole place is very tired and needs some serious TLC. Staff did their best but they appear short staffed. Accor Live Gold status was recognised with a small room upgrade which was nice. Not so nice, the restaurant does not even open in the evenings so there is only the all day bar menu, very very limited choices and they were not even willing to substitute chips for the mash on the menu on the dish I ordered. Really really disappointed.

Attended a wedding and stayed for a few days. The room (for 3) wasn’t big enough for us to walk around the beds, the internet didn’t work and therefore the television was blank. The pool which is awesome, was patrolled so heavily by security, if you forgot to wear your arm band in the pool areas, you either had to go get it, or leave immediately. Midgees biting us all weekend! The lake smells and needs to be aerated. The wedding cake wasn’t handed out at the reception as requested therefore went to waste. The wedding guests had to walk from the ceremony to the reception across the other side of the lake, in heels and finery, in the heat. The buffet breakfast which was absolutely delicious, was entertaining as we watched large cockroaches running across the walls and room dividers, as it’s all open plan. I actually wrote a complaint and was “pacified” by a gentleman who offered us a reduced rate return stay. Tried contacting him after a few months and no one would return my calls or numerous emails. So no, we are not impressed by this resort. Looks lovely in photos. In reality, it’s sub standard in attention to detail, and the service is non existent.
