We stayed in the Beach House, which was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen meant we could cook in, convenient for our jet-lagged sense of time and cheaper than endless restaurant meals. Karen and Drew were very helpful in booking excursions and providing information about local sights and activities. The location is ideal--right across from a beautiful beach, with great shells for beachcombing and stunning views north and south. Even my teenagers were impressed, both with the Beach House and with my planning in booking it! We'd stay there again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend it for families or anyone else traveling with a group, looking for a perfect base to explore the Daintree/Cape Tribulation area.

We rented the villa at Thornton Beach Bungalows for 2 nights - there's only 1 villa (2 bedrooms, sleep 6) positioned right at the back of two bungalows. Great facilities, fully equipped kitchen and large outdoor area with gas BBQ. The beach is just a short walk away - great tropical beach HOWEVER you really don't want to go for a swim as there are salt water crocodiles swimming around the place ;-) Overall a great spot to spend a couple of days as you explore the Daintree and Cape Tribulation!

We stayed 2 nights at thornton beach bungalows and loved it. The location is amazing just across the road from the most beautiful beach, which felt like a desert island as we walked along it. The bungalow is small, a bedroom which is also a kitchen and a wardrobe, the use of space is so clever, and a great shower in the bathroom. Lovely products left for us to use, my hair was so soft after using them. It is so very peaceful, no phones, no internet, we sat on the verandah watching fire flies and the stars come out, listening to the sounds of the night, which included the ocean rolling in. We spoke to each other more than we usually do!! We also went on the discovery cruise, Alan who took us on the boat was so informative, it made it even better. We were cruising along when a

The location of Thornton Beach Bungalows is absolutely gorgeous. They are directly across the street from Thornton Beach and a beach cafe. Thornton Beach is beautiful and so peaceful - no crowds and simply a stunning place to be. I had booked 5 days at the bungalows but was not able to actually stay because there was a cyclone the day before I arrived that caused the ferry to stop operating (so I cannot comment on the condition of the inside of the bungalow). I did, however, get to drive up to the location at the end of the week, and I can verify that the bungalows are in a lovely area that is clean and well kept. The owners were very helpful in making reservations for excursions and providing information to me about the area. In addition, they were so professional when the

Great location across from a lovely beach. Simple, clean and cheap bungalow suited what we needed. The kiosk over the road has rude and unhelpful staff that wouldn't confirm an opening time so we left for a day out without breakfast they also use a leaf blower every morning at 07:00 which I thought was unreasonable. There are other limited options for food though, Whet is a restaurant just up the road that has great food and welcoming staff.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights here, the location is very nice set in the rain forest across the road from the beach and cafe where you can buy all your meals. The bungalow was very clean and tidy with an en suite bathroom but we found it a bit too small for 4 nights,There is a small jug for tea and coffee, plates, dishes, utensils, and a chilly bin along with 1 lot of ice.Clean towels were supplied each day which was very good.

This place is located right next to the road with the beautiful Thornton Beach on the other side. Our bungalow was spotless and the bed very comfortable. We only wish we could stay longer than one night. The only problem was lack of restaurants nearby.

If you can rent the house, don't hesitate! Simply beautiful, decorated with taste, open space kitchen living room, sleep up to 6, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a view on the spacious garden. Little barbecue, lots of chairs to chill in the sun. 50m from the beach, just cross the road! Drew is also very nice guy. Do book in advance!

Accommodation in peak season can be hard to find and we were thankful that we could find somewhere for a reasonable price. $80 per night is hard to beat! The cabins were clean and compact. There were beach chairs which we used to relax on the beach right across the road. If you book this expecting a small compact cabin then it will be good. We ate dinner across the road and were the only ones there. It seems as though no matter where you stay you will have to venture out for dinner. Tip: if you walk to the beach across the road you can get phone reception - win!

Whilst we were aware when booking one of the bungalows that the accommodation would be compact and not offer many facilities we were very surprised at how compact, tiny is a better description, the bungalow was. Certainly the beach is only a short walk away and a cafe, which offers limited evening meals, across the road but other restaurants are a reasonable drive away on very driver unfriendly roads. The unit was clean. contained very good information relating to dining and tourist activities and wasreasonably priced The Daintree is a beautiful area certainly worth a visit,.
